Hi, im a newbie voice actor and recently i had my windows rebooted, so i lost all my data. I had this program very much like cool edit, in fact i think it was. but it wasnt a trial. You could do stuff like Blur, and all the normal Cool Edit effects.

but im not sure what it was. i downlaoded cool edit 2000 and pro and it was very much like them but u didnt need to pay and it only had one wave bar instead of 2.

i use Goldwave, myself. It's only a demo, but it suits my purposes.

@ Maglok: is Blur freeware? What about CoolEdit 2000... eh?

I dunno what blur is besides an effect you apply to graphics. Cooledit 2000 is no more, it is now Adobe Audition, and no it's not :)

Cause Adobe bought it out and used the core of it as a new program Adobe Audition, they also added a lot, but Cooledit doesn't exsist anymore.

On the program issue:
May i suggest www.tucows.com...i found free software there for sound editing..and if youre a noob, i do not suggest you rely on whatever you can find: i STRONGLY suggest you get Fruityloops 3.0.
But if you have experience, any half assed program with a funky GUI will serve your purpose...damn adobe..i have the audition install..but i tried it once: and that was enough.....*shakes fist*
