I'm using a custom unit with stampede in a map. The unit that uses it is owned by a Computer Player. Does anyone know why it starts stampede then stops 5 seconds later when the duration I have set to 180 seconds? |

It is most likely because the Warcraft III computer AI is not programmed to work with custom abilities and units, so it creates problems when using them. |

Well it's not really a custom unit, here is what is going on--- I've used Ice revenant and stripped him of all abilitys, and added Stampede. I changed Stampedes animation to Frost Breath. Edit: Hmm...I just realized that it might still have the classification Creep and that could be why...I'll find out |

Well changing race to off creep didn't work. Should I try using the beastmaster as the base? But the thing is I don't really want a hero unit, but if I have to I will... |

Basing it off a beastmaster did not work either... I could do this with triggers in my map because the unit casting stampede will not be moving |

Did you edit the original stampede? The AI is very picky about this sort of thing. I would suggest using trigger to tell him when to cast the ability; that's usually the best way to get custom stuff used properly. Also, please don't triple post. Just edit your first one. Thank you. |

I've found a mediocre solution. I have an Initially off trigger that orders my Unit to stampede every 3 seconds. I also have the casting sound turned off. So when I want him to stampede I turn on the trigger and play the casting sound the first time. |
