well recently i found a program called chilliskinner that makes unwrapping and lining up coordinates to skin alot easier, however after i get to the part where i need to export my flattened coordinates as a bmp. file to edit in psp etc. i have trouble. There is no texporter from what ive found for gmax. So what i do is use an uvw unwrap modifier, then i choose face, edit, then i maximize my screen and take a screen shot of the coordinates. Then i open in psp and paste as a new selection. After i paint what i want i save as a bmp. Reopen gmax and drag and drop the new bmp onto my model. Works pretty good in gmax seems to line up pretty well. Then i convert my bmp file as a blp in my viewer so that i can use the texture in warcraft. This is where my problem occurs, the blp file doesnt show up after i save it. Shows as 0kb file size and theres nothing there when i view it. anyone know what this problem could be?? thanks , alreadyused |

Thou must use tga no bmp tga is higher res and has a chance that it goes to 0kb when converting to blp. |

well i got it figured out and now i can skin my models properly, however chilliskinner is only capable of skinning simple objects/non sherical/non higher detailed models. Do you know of any unwrappers that can do more advanced models?? i heard of a program called lithunwrap..does this work with gmax? |

I dont think so gmax doesnt exports as 3ds and lithunwrap unwraps 3ds |
