About this piece, I like the overall picture and the way it translates. However, there are some smaller things that detract from the picture's quality.

Firstly, s/he looks as if s/he's very brightly lit with a warm lightsource close to its body. The only logical lightsources I can see are the psi blades, and those look to be emitting a cool blue tone of light. I understand the armor and skin are both supposed to be yellow/orange, but it would be a good idea to incorporate those cool highlights to give the picture a sense of unity and bring it together.

Secondly, why are all of those blues the same color? His eyes, at the very least, should be a different hue. The three orb-like glows on his chest and forearms are the same color as his blades, so should we assume them to be the same material? Both for visual and conceptual interest, consider making them of a different intensity if not a different color.

Also, that background could be improved. I can understand and appreciate the need for a background, but filters are more often than not a shortcut to nowhere.

I hope I didn't sound too harsh, but I just wanted to let you know what I'd work on for this picture or keep in mind for the next. Like I said, the overall effect of the picture is nice, and looks to be of fairly high quality. It is only upon closer and deliberate inspection that one can see the flaws, minor as they are.

Keep it up.
