Im currently working on a horror gta style map. Its a open city where you are free to go anywhere including sewers and insides of buildings. You have missions to do until you find a way out of the city. Right now the map is near completion. I just need to develop a ton of missions, and do a save/load code. If anyone would like to contribute to developing missions let me know.

inside buildings are simple... check the tutorial section, i have made a few buildings that are enterable etc.

the game sounds like a good idea other then the fact that including the save code will be abit demeaning to the gaming experience in my opinion.

what i mean is being able to load your uber hero and cut through everything is a bit dull.. unless you have a "morphic" enemy system which will either upgrade the enemies attacks and defense with the level of hero...

Good Quest Idea right Here- Some acolyte modeled dude starts to talk to you saying: "You gotta kill a large monster that has plauged this town. He resides in the middle of some mansion garden blah blah" . When you go to the specified location...its no more than an innocent child. A screen pops up with a question like "Hello, I am Timmy" and you can say Hello Timmy or DIE LITTLE WHORE. If you say die...he turns into some huge monster and bites your balls off. If you say Hello another screen pops up saying "Why are you here?". You can say "Some freak sent me on a search for a monster" Or, "The Question is, What are YOU doing Here?". The monster question ends up in him sayin YOU FOUND IT and he proceeds in ass raping you. The YOU question ends up in "I'm Lost can you help me home?" and you say either "Fuck off" Or "Yes I'm looking for home too...". The ruder response gets a rude reply of an even worse monster, but if you help him he will follow you around for a while. When you find his home he turns into a ghost and says Thank You for your help, You are very Kind. He then gives you an item, and a scroll then his spirit dissipates.

Or.....Ending # 2 you kill the giant monster whore thing and you go back to the quest giver and he says "You little bastard you attacked a little kid? Damn..." Then he proceeds into turning into a monster and tryin to kill you. If you can kill him (not by attacking but more of a strategic, like dropping some sort of chandalier and causing a fire or rolllling a ston on his head, cuz hes uber otherwise, just a slow powerfull and dodgeable attack) you earn a even more uber item and a scroll........

Scroll Quest: It reads something of a haunted house and a vile woman who would seduce young horny men and slaughter them, yet for some reason the bodies were never found. When you go to kill this woman for her vile deeds, she will start to get angry and attack you. If you can beat her off enough she goes back and calls forth a horrible creation comparable to only frankenstien. (Use an abom model here). You kill the abom (again using strategy hopefully and teamwork not just run up and slice it) and the woman comes down even more angry. She transforms into a more demonic phase and comes at you. If you can somehow manage to defeat her she drops and item...

Hope you like my quest Ideas (I'll post more if you like em!)

thats some good ideas, i might incorporate something along those lines in one of my maps... not exactly.

with the first quest.

you must kill a giant monster that has been raging through out the garden area, there you find a child. and you can talk to him and have the following options

1)

Child - What Are You Doing Here?
You - I am looking for a monster, have you seen one.
or
You - Something else ( like kill him generally and he will transform )



2)

Child - I have a bad problem, i keep on changing...
You - WELL THEN YOU DIE! ( then he will transform and attack)
or
You - What is wrong, can i help?


3)
Child - I keep on transforming into a monster, can you please help me.
You - How about i take you home, will that help
or
You - I will help you, if you are killed you'll be helped.


now see with the end result it will be better.

If you say put him out of his misery, he will not transform, but will allow you to kill him. This will end the mission easily etc.

alternatively you can take him home, to make this easier, every now and then the child will transform into the raging monster and help you attack enemies. Once you take him home he will thank you and will give you a gift.


i reckon this mission would be great.

I will be releasing a sample of verison of Dead City today for feedback and suggestions. No remarks about the terrain. I'm about to redo it with some new building models I have so it will look awhole lot better.

I liked it. Only thing is that I got stuck after rescuing the 6 women. The running over people part was awesome, and I also like the models you used. Can't wait for the release.

EDIT: Also, the pathing for some of the buildings needs to be fixed.

Thanks killr. Well over the past week I've basically redid the whole map. Same concept of a city and vehicles but its much better now. I have better building models for the city and now players can all ride around in the same car and run over enemys. The weapons system has been change to item based. Hopefully I'll be able to add 10 more missions by the end of the day and I'll release a new version of it.
