Aura help

I played a map i think dota and a paladin had an aura that damaged other things (enemys) and didnt do anything to your teammates im a big newb to mapmaking so how do you do this is it sumtin in the object editor for the skill?

The degen aura?

He probably used the aura template and when units were close enough they were given a passive ability that lowered movement speed, but nothing else.

Or a negative Unholy Aura
