Here this a Uruk'Hai Cheif. The model needs more editing like the cloth and metal to be put over his crotch. That will come soon. It is for this project http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forumdisplay.php?f=546 I don't like lord of the rings but I did it because it looks cool and there are no good looking LOTR skins or models that I saw. Well give me crits. I based it off the funny concept. oh and plz rep me :( UPDATED ![]() |

Doesn't really look like the concept The skin should be darker with red splotches thrown randomly in Also, the white hand on his face is almost unrecognizable Do you really need rep? |

[quote=antihero]Also, the white hand on his face is almost unrecognizableQUOTE] What do u mean? Well the face is streched like crazy. The fingers on the unwrap are kinda straight they really get distorted. Yea gotta fix the color thx. I made everything lighter skin, clothes fearing it would appear too dark ingame. I got it as close to the concept with this model. Any suggestions for the skin or model to make it more exact? Also for a mod I have low rep. |

Well, I've never skined that model before but I'm just saying that it doesn't really look like a hand, maybe make the fingers a bit wider. I hope the hand is on a seperate layer You have a hundred more rep points then me, ie no sympathy |

Another thing, the metal looks really nice, did you use a scratch texture filter or did you do it entirely freehand? The shorts look kinda lame though, no really clearly defined folds. |

The shorts are like that because that peice will be over it. You see the metal with the other cloth. As for the metal I did this. Layer 1 do the basic metal shadow etc. layer 2 i used the brush that come with photoshop then drew around to get the effect. I'll make a tut later on. ha this whole thread was just me and u thanks for helping me. |

A tutorial would be nice, seems like a lot of people have trouble making metal. (and I have no idea what you meant when you tried to explain your method )Thanks for the rep by the way |

nice work, mate. The armour looks great and the colours look earthy and dark...I'm not a LOTR rings film expert , but judging the skin on its own merits it's very tasty indeed. I'll be checking out your work again in the future, for definite |
