Is it an RPG or an Altered melee or what?

Before anyone can give you real feedback or ideas you'll have to tell us more. So far it looks like a Diablo-like class system with subclasses and a few elementals. That's all we know, and that aint much. Look at how much info I shot out in my RoN thread, and there is still much more that I'm putting into the game.

I dont have many suggestions but some tips: I dont know about you guys but I hate when i get the hero that sucks cause he doesnt have a godly spell like blizzard or infernal. So, give every hero unit a good spell. just make sure its balanced, nothign worse then all the people in the game saying "omg newb you pick the shitty hero!"

Also, make it action packed, rpgs that are slow and you have to move very slowly just to prevent from dying are very boring and cumbersome. Good luck with the map

sorry for lack of info. It will be an RPG but u get a small group of spellcasters and warriors instead of 1 hero or maybe 1 spell casting hero who gains new spells as he/she goes along (and these will be custom spells)

[glow=strenght]I think the gaining spells thing is cool. If you use custom spells (which you said you will), you can really make this have a good storyline. If you add good cinematics to that, you could really make it awesome. All RPGs (well, most at least) need cinematics. It really makes them better.[/glow]

[glow=stregnth]That works too. If i were you, i would do the same thing. I don't think i know how to make custom spells. Make sure you show the player the mana. It would be really annoying if you didn't.

Oooo, that brings back memories from StarCraft. Except for one thing, you would have to go all the way over to some hill somewhere and move the unit. WarCraft definitley makes it easier for the player, but so much harder for the map maker...[/glow]

I currently doin a sort of RPG engine to be used as a base in RPG maps. Maybe we should work together. Ive got the stat points working and race hero selection thru dialogs. Im currently working on a potion blacksmith thingy. Where you put items in a certain order and then press a button to maybe get new ones. As invunerbility potions or betters weapons.
