Guest | I had a whole lengthy post written up when the forum decided to tell me I wasn't logged in... So this will be short and to the point. Time Enigma - name still in the works. I think a puzzle map would be interesting to do. Players would solve puzzles cooperatively to advance as well as slash through monsters via RPG-style heroes. An interesting part of the puzzles would be manipulation of time (and if you've played Zelda: Oracle of Ages you'll know what I'm talking about). For example, if theres a wall you can't scale, you would need to go back in time and plant a seed there, so when you moved forward in time the seed would become a stalk you can use to scale the wall. Heroes would have specialties that can help (but not hinder) in solving puzzles. For example, a spider-like hero would be able to climb the aforementioned wall automatically. RPG elements would be few, however complex bosses with special (trigger-based) abilities is something I think would add depth to boss battles. Plot-wise... there is none. I am open (PLEASE?!) to suggestions. If it sounds like your cup of tea, drop me a line or reply here. Trigger artists, terrain masters, unit editors/balancers (I really would like help here), whatever, feel free to critique or offer help (it is all much appreciated). |

Would this be a multiplayer map? Then the time jumping would be very hard to implement I think. |

Hmmm, interesting concept, but I think the time manipulation will be almost impossible to do. First, you weuold need some sort of special ablity that activated it, which also made you invisible to the other players. Of course you would alsoneed to do something so the other players didn't see a tree suddenly appear there. Plus, if you wanted to make it convincing, you would need to alter the terrain, something that is impossible with WC3. |

If the time switch was put it then it couldn't be a good multiplayer. How are you planning on doing the time change? Use lots of variables, two almost identicle sections of the map and just teleport between them, or something else? |

Guest | Basically the past would be the same layout as the present, but with a few alterations, such as the future will use some of the barrens tileset, while the past would use mainly grass and lots of trees. Time warps would be few and far between, and would not function without ALL of the party stepping on one at the same time. |
