Is it possible to add a new battle menu selection?

Well, planning on an RPG, I was wondering if I could add "Summons". If we could, then it would be wonderful if it was written in the tutorial.

Ya its all possible but it requires so much effort its not even funny. Before you start on adding summons and all that stuff. You should try simple edits like adding a spell to a hero or even allowing a new hero. Changing menu you things is a lot more advance so until you get used to the system try doing simple edits for now.

I'll work on a demo map with a new and more advanced battle system. I will have the real meaning of Active Time Battle in mind this time.

BTW, what are the different panel you guys want?
Defend, Attack, Magic, Summon, Skill and Item?

- How do you want the Summon and the Magic system to work? (dont just name a game because I haven't played them all)
- How many Magic, Summon, Skill and Item do you want? (I had 20 magic, 0 summon, 4 skill per character and 20 item) I can try to make this infinite but editing might not be as easy(for me and for you).
- How many slot do you want? It was 3 for your party and 5 for enemies before.

I will try to make the demo as editable as possible for you.

Well, summons should have their own bar. The bar increases in percentage everytime I attack normally, or a specific skills. For example, when it is at 10%, I could summon a really weak arse summon. At 100%, I get to summon a dragon. SUMMONS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL CHARACTERS!

I'm planning on about 10 summons. Four skills are not enough. I suggest about 10. Twenty items are fine.

I suggest extending to 4, but an extra cookie if you can transfer some characters around. For example, if you have 5 characters, you can only choose 4. You can exchange positions any time. If you can't do that, then I suggest 5. Allow 8 slots for enemies. No, I have a logical reason for this. I will only use about 5 enemies until the player receives all 4-5 characters. The 8 slots is usually for the really big bosses.

Menu

Attack
Skills
Magic
Summons
Defend
Items

Yes, you listed them all, but I like this order. See, Attacks are used more frequently, so it allows the users to keep pressing Right arrow-key if they are lazy :P. Skills are usually second. Magic limits to several characters, so it isn't as useful for others. Summons are a pretty rare situation, so 4th. I HARDLY Defend. Items should be last because it doesn't make sense placing it in between the 1st priority stuff.

Umm.. an interesting summon concept. :) Its like mixing limit break with summon.
4 slots for party and 8 for NCP!!! Those fights will take forever :/ The battle area would need to be larger. I will see what I can do but I can't promise 8 NCP.
Don't worry about defend being in the top. It even less troublesome when it's there. By default, Attack is highlighted. If you press the up arrow, you get defend and if you press the down arrow you get the others.
