I've been working on this idea for caves. This idea is that umm... Oh yeah, using the floating rock chunks from outland you can make the opposite of a stalagmite, I forget what it is called. The first 5 picutres arn't really good in terms of terraining, I know, but I just made them to test out my theory. Hope you like them. BTW the last picture doesnt have anything to do with the first 5. |

They are called stalactites. The problems are though is that floating rock chunks float and bob up and down frequently and are red. You might be able to change the texture though. Nice creative idea though. |

u should try to make the platforms of grass a little more blendid in... other than that its alright but put more doodads inside the cave |

:o :o :o i had that idea a few weeks ago. nice to see it done. thought it doesnt really feel like a cave. nice idea but it needs work like more rocks and things like that also its too open. most caves arent so open. also since ur useing the outland tileset, an abis would be perfect. (of coarse ud have to fix up the cliff a bit)gj tho first real attempt at a cave without useing roky arches :D |

These shot were just for me to get the idea down on 'paper', so to say. There are a lot more problems with it hen you guys found, for instance, There are shadows everywhere from the platforms that I forgot to get rid of, and the terrain in the cave is flat. I am making a bigger, and better version of this map now, It should have more stalactites (Thanks Sheep(Wolf2)) and the overall terrain should be superior to this. I did notice the little problem with the floating rocks bouncing up and down, but I remember playing a map on B.Net that had all of the units frozen in place (no animations) so I am working on finding that trigger to use on the rocks. Murcielago), The Abyss idea sounds cool, I'll try that too. I find that I have a lot of ideas too, but then someone does it just before i get around to doing it. Also, the other shot, the demon place, I started doing that for the Weekly Terraining (Waterfall City) but it didn't turn out quit as I wanted it and not so much a city, but I still wanted to post it. |

I did a temple cave without using rocky arches. Btw closec, damn you. i've been trying to do this for like a month at a specific map and you come up here with a few screenies having it done. woooooot! and the moving can be solved on a number of ways. one is remodeling/animating the model, which i think you've done (saying there "are more stalagtite's in"). very nice. rep! Blah, seems I spelled it wrong. Stalactites not stalagmites. I was close though :P. I wonder if maybe a modeler could make us stalactites. *cough**hint**cough* |

Making Stalagmites was done AGES ago by Xaran Alamas at my request. And i do mean ages. They've been up at www.themappersguild.net for DL for quite some time now. |
