well actually this is just the head, but i wanted to post it as it is my first work with the open canvas program that ogre crossing told us about.... its not that good, but i actually like it more than alot of the stuff ive done.

I think open canvas is a lot like a dumbed down version of painter, but its really natural, it just makes sense, its user friendly and all that rot.

well give me some crits!

Done with a mouse btw... i hates me mouse (I WANT A TABLET)

Make his chin and lower lip jut out more, he looks like hes trying to elongate his face and lowering his jaw right now.

Update!

i was trying to keep it looking long for a reason... he is kinda scared and unhappy because facing years of training that he is being forced into by his family.... added the spear so this was more clear

[EDIT: I know the spear is fat, so dont even mention it :P ]

he could use more shading because some areas kinda look flat

I think you should add two little teeth sticking out of the bottom lip. It will make it look more orcish.

While I prefer non-Warcraft Orcs, you seem to be lacking some essentials:

Point ears
Teeth
Hair

I'm not convinced by the innocence of the pic, but I guess Warcraft Orcs sway towards honour, rather than malevolence.

The shape of the mouth is off.

All orcs have wide jaws because of the tusks... and No... garona is a half-orc she doesn't count.

What about the cheek bones? And the Big "flesh brows"?

As well as the fact that orc noses are more flattened then that...

Kids may look more innocent... but not that much.

And as FUNG said, the lighting could use some work.

If he's lit from the back, then most of the front part of the face should be in shadow.

Bah... Where's Ogre?

If you were going for cell shading then just skip this post. Anyhow, I did a quick paint over, all you really need to do to improve your art skill right now is add more diversity in the color instead of leaving so much of it with one color. Anyhow, I tried not to touch much in the way of the "frame" of the orc, but I did enlongate the chin a bit. There wasn't much in the way of lighting to be fixed, except that you need to deversify, but that's it. Good job, and remember, ears don't stick to your face so you need to put a lot darker color inside the ear.

well, to be honest, when i made this, i was fiddling with open canvas and made a green child (it wasnt originally going to be an orc at all :/ ) but i wanted to post it here without switching around colors and such and so i called it an orc. Im prolly going to do some changes to more match the name, so hold out i suppose for pointy teeth, a more aggressive expression, and pointy ears.

here is the aggressive version.... has heavier eyeridges, small tusks (the bone structure of the orc's mouth doesnt allow for the massive ones on most blizzard orcs), demonic eyes, pointy ears, a stronger chin, and somewhat better shading on the head.
