Roof Top

I've noticed alot of, original themed challenges, and since I had great feedback from my last challenge Fight Scene I have decided to make another challenge. A unconventional one.

Building, pretty self explanitory.

Things I don't want to see...
-Just raised city scape wall terrain and placing doodads on the top...(very boring and will not be accepted in the challenge)
-Custom Doodads, or Models... (Basicly to make it harder, but also because, I've seen too many terrains just focused on the custom doodads, and considered good. I for one, have never needed/used custom models, so deal with it)
-Pitiful work...(If your willing to try this challenge, don't make a 5 minute map and submit it for rep points. PS: Not giving rep points to participants, only winner.)

Things I'd like to see....
-Un-Warcraft themed buildings (It doesn't have to be, I'd just like to see something new)
-Useful uses for unuseful doodads (Making doodads, used for a different purpose than what its made for)
-Pathed terrains (No, I'm not making it so you have to submit your map but pathing, is a essential part of terraining, you need the practice)
-Overall shots (I'm sick of terrains being considered good just cause of a cool looking screenshot) the back could look like crap, but whos gonna know, this isnt a contest won by whos got the better ss, its whos got the better terrain.


I hope you consider trying this challenge, and find my rules understandable. Don't think when I was No "Pitiful work..." that means no newbs, no, it means try your best and I'll be much obliged to accept ur entry.

No due date set, but when I think there is enough entries I will give a 2 day heads up to when it ends.

This sounds like a really interesting challenge because of the rules and all (Pathing, Useful uses for unuseful doodads...) But, Sadly...


I can't say it is self explanatory. Do you want like, the roof of the world? An aerial shot of a city? A signal structure? All of the above? I'm sorry, I just don't really understand what it is you're looking for.

Well, I want you to use your creativity. Make a rooftop of any building you want. I mean, it doesnt have to be just a rooftop, you can show like half the building too, or all of it. The style of the building is up to you as well, as I said, I'd like to see something un-warcraftish if possible, i'm trying to make a chinese roof top for mine (not giving any more details about mine). So just use your creativity and make something really cool. Multiply buildings can be done, , i dunno waht you mean by that, but as long as its a rooftop :D .

Just a rooftop? Why not also try to show the architecture of the building the roof goes to? I mean, once you boil it down, a rooftop is just... a rooftop, and is pretty uninteresting without the accompanying structure.

Yeah I guess I was thinking, add the whole building but I don't know why I just wanted a rooftop, I changed the title of the challenge, same rules still.

O, now I remember why I wanted jsut a rooftop, its cause I didn't want people to just submit a huge scaled building, but, rooftop by itself is boring, so I'll do whole building and hope no one trys to submit just a huge scaled building model...
