Well, meanwhile me and Pheonix-VII played, we had an idea. How about, in addition to the already done cover (None, Poor, Good, Excellent), you add the a kind of tower with 60% evade. You would have to stay in it, making yourself a very good targets for sniper skill and grenade, but in exchange, you would have improved range (and attack rate?, it easier to reload and aim when you know your a bit covered), it would take x (10?) sec to get in or out (each) so it won't be abused. You could still fire from inside, manually, and you could be taken down. also put these tower in forgetten spot to add a bit of attraction and not to make it rigged.

If people continue to post suggestions in this thread then I will sticky it. As for your proposed idea, it is interesting. I'll look into the idea in more depth and see if something like this would be used enough to be worth adding and if it wouldn't have a negative effect on gameplay.

i think that would be cool and i think that there should be a bit more work into the base i think, like a wall or something taht provides 45% cover, that would be cool, and another thing that might be neat(yet might affect gameplay ALOT) would be like random traps in the widlerness, or teh abilty to set up traps, i think those could be cool, but it would take up alot of room, cause thats a small map, but i still think those could b e cool ideas.

While I'm not sure about adding increased bonuses to defenders, I do however like the idea of traps. I've had a few ideas and I think the best option would be to make them items. Perhaps have two or three types of traps. Ranging from net traps to mines. Prices would of course be proportionate to how useful the trap is.

Well, if I were to use custom skins I would like some that don't interfere too much with the unit's team colour. The reason being that the team colour is one of the bonuses of Night Vision Goggles, and one I would like to keep.

cheaper battery packs, i know a lot of people use night vision a lot so they get the packs. but IMO nightvision isnt all that great, at least not enough too need 40 mana (20 normal mana plus full recharge) a round for 55 gold.

Put an arrow in the minimap that shows where your facing, I lose my bearings a lot. I think it would be simple to implement and would make it more accessible.

I'm afraid I disagree on the NVG not being that great. Considering it increases your line of sight by 80%, and that provides you with a huge advantage over people not using it, I find it a necessary tool for success. Which is why, the ability to keep it on the entire round (buy purchasing Battery Supplies) cost extra. Part of the strategy is in figuring out when to use and when not to use your NVG during the round. Or, you can always put points into the NVG skill and Tech skills to both increase battery supply and reduce the amount it drains.

I like this idea, and I could probably work something out. Unfortunately it won't be available in the next release but is more than likely for other releases (if I get around to them).

Youshould add a opening cinematic that explains it a little better....

And I made that twoer thing like it was suggested in one of my old maps in my old harddrive I can get it by this week and give it to you but I need the triggers for shooting sniping grenades and stuff to apply it ok safety??


And is there a way that I can join your team like cinematics/triggers/jass please?

Yeah, cinematics is one area I have not spent much time developing. At some point this will probably get upgraded. Though it's much better now than it originally was... sadly enough.

The more I think about it the less enthusiastic I am about providing a way to defend your base with such an unfair advantage as greater sight and range. With no counter and death in as little as one or two hits, such an advantage wouldn't be easy to justify. A similar type of object on the ground, like an enterable bunker which is perhaps selectable by the user making it much more difficult to actually target those inside I find to me more balanced. If you have any ideas to balance the tower idea I would love to hear them.

We have just restructured the Crimson Creation staff removing idle members and organised a detailed plan to complete the numerous projects we have going. Once everyone in the team is free of previously promised obligations (around the beginning of November) we will begin following through on that plan. If we find that we are short time and need more people, it is at this time that we will make an announcement in the news forum that we are looking for new members (this would probably happen mid November). So just check in at the forums to keep updated for opportunities such as this. We do however, keep track of people who display interest in joining and occasionally contact them with small individual 'freelance' style projects.

not sure if this map is dead but what if u guys make a map that is like fighting in a cityscape environment when u can go inside buildings an fight or walk along path above the ground this would ba a really fun map to play if u guys made it and u could make it a desert style city and use the giascape barrens models pack for the terrain

No, the map isn't dead, however, the other projects have priority over the updates to this map. So a change like that probably wouldn't happen for long while. We will have an update on the project progress soon.

and import a new minimap/terrain?

Cause i will like to make a "We Were Snipers" in another map of my.....?

hellooz! These are just suggestions/ideas of maps if are going to make new ones. maybe u guyzs can make like a counter strike type map? u can buy weapons and equipment.. maybe a paintball one?? Or a zombie one wif two sides, zombie and the opposing force. is it possible to make smoke grenades? heheh

Jorak: Go ahead. Try to learn from it while in the process, as that is the main purpose of it being open source, is so that people can learn how I did the various features.

13lack_1)12agon: Well, I'm not sure we have the time for this at the moment. I've actually had no free time the last few weeks and haven't been able to do anything. However, if you think that you could put something like this together based on our map then go right ahead, just be sure to throw in some nice credits.
