I'm in the process of upgrading my AoS map "Water War." I started out with only one lane, and the biggest request I've been getting was to add more terrain, as the map is fairly small. So, instead of expanding, I copied the terrain and pasted it next to the existing terrain. Then I blocked off all the islands with cliffs and boundaries, and gave an ability to the heroes called submerge. When they use the submerge ability (only in water) it'll transport them to the same point in the other terrain. I used a personal fade filter and other effects to get it to seem as "underwatery" as possible. However, aside from a few oversized "school of fish" doodads, there isn't much one can do to capture marine life in Warcraft. If anyone has some fish models, or other marine life- like a manta ray or something- I could really use it. I'll give full credit to you, of course. I attached some SS if it helps with inspiration... |\ ||\ Kajenx \|/ / |

Use the Naga Coutl with slowed movement and animation speed for rays |

There's a campaign at maps n mods, called the last druid, in the first map there is a submap which is underwater. They use Cuatls as rays, it's quite good, you could use it as an inspiration. EDIT: also use weather effects (rays of light), it's really cool for underwater maps. |

That's where I got the idea to have an underwater lane. :> I'm using rays of moonlight- you can't see it very well in the picture- but it looks great. Thanks for the ideas! |\ ||\ Kajenx \|/ / |
