I am looking for anybody who wishes to be part of a series of Poke'Mon maps/movies, etc. I want to create a team who will be, creating new models, music and sounds, etc. So far I haven't begun anything yet and I want to get feedback as to whether people would like this, before I get started. I intend to create multiple movies, and a multiplayer and single player map for playing on. I'm going to create a hompage soon and I will post here again when it is ready. For now if you are interested, or want to give me some feedback, send an email to: [email protected] and tell me what you can do and I'll get back to you. NOTE: I am highly interested in the concept of Poke'Mon and this style of play (collecting Poke'Mon to fight for you) has never been done very well before. (The best Poke'Mon level I have seen so far is Poke'Mon World 6.0). I want to be very accurate with the models and the sounds used within the project. I also intend to put all models that are created on the internet for others to use, because I wouldn't mind some more Poke'Mon levels to be made (nothing like a bit of competition), but the maps themselves will be protected. -Harbinger2004 |

If you made a movie, what will be the plot? Everything has already been done for the cartoon and movies series. Just wondering :P |

If your voting definetely not just because its pokemon you should be shot. Its not what the map is based off that makes it good, its everything thats good about it. |

Ah, the good old days of playing pokemon. Brings back fond memories. If you do intend to make a pokemon map I strongly insist that you stay true to the RPG and strategy aspects of pokemon. |

Hmmmm you should kinda alter it around a bit, instead of everyone being so fricken nice make some people mean... Like in a Gym Battle Make the leader go, OH You deafeated my Blastoise Mafucka!? Bitch, Bitch I'm gonna stick my J up yo ass shoot bullets through your body out yo mouth, Motherfucker... Then make him thrrow out a pokeball. Get someone to do models of each character throwing a pokeball. Then have someone animation a new unit missle, and have them attack the ground at the middle of the gym, that why it actually looks like pokemon. The pokemon characters are never realistic it really makes me mad. LIke the team rocket guys, they always get blasted like 70000 ft. How the survive I do not know, but if i survived then I'd do something like plant a fucking nuclear bomb in That one guys back pack. You know where the hell are all the guns while pokemon are scratching eachother. If I were Ash Id be carrying around 2 Glocks |

Ok, here is some more information. Like I said before I am interested in the concept, of Poke'Mon, I'm not really that interested in Poke'Mon, but I wanted to create a map, that is as close to the gameboy series of Poke'mon as it can be. The main aspects of the game, will be on the capture and collecting of Poke'Mon, the battling, and the ability to play against others over the net. There aren't even any official games that really let you play Poke'Mon with lots of different people, and that's what I wanted to create. I also wanted to make a different Warcraft map/mod, because the main warcraft maps that get played over then net are Tower Defenses, Mauls, Dotas, etc, and I really am really bored with them all. The poll I created because it was the first time I used this site and I wanted to test it out. It really doesn't have much to do with the creation of this mod/map. If you want to help please send an email to the email address above or post on here, I'll check back every now and again. |

Harbringer, you're pretty new here, and we don't know you... well. You might want to start on the map yourself and then show some of your work. We got no idea, with what kind of someone we got to do right now. I don't mind the pokemon things and stuff, but I am very... bad-mooded when it comes to the story and the un-realism. It is true, that I liked it before, when it became popular I lost interest. And I still lost that interest :P Well, good luck all in all -Fladian |

I agree, the style of play and the idea of having fellow creatures to train, grow, evolve, and such was a brilliant idea, but Pokemon threw that way out of proportion. It was created for kids, pretty much ages 3-11. That would be the whole reason for people not liking pokemon. Now, Wc3 is a brutal game. Killing, slaying, blood... on and on. Combine these two. Do something like -Ragnarok- stated (but not exactly like he said.. that's throwing it outta proportion on the other side, too.) Make it more for older people. Make some blood, and don't make everyone so damn nice and cheery. Make one of their monsters lose a head in a battle or something. You might not want to plan everything so far ahead. You say multiple movies, along with maps for multiplayer and single player? Truth be, you might start on one map, find it too hard to finish, and give up on the whole thing entirely. Start one map at a time, and then give an explanation of what you want in that map and what you are going to be doing. Then people may help, but recruiting for a series of projects saying nothing more than you want to make Pokemon maps isn't going to help much. Aside from all this, Good Luck. Edit: Weeezez, your pictures don't work. |

I have a few thoughts on the matter for you, harbinger that I personally believe would make this map plow it's way to the top. For starters, you should give players and option to chose from variety of different poke'mon trainers (such as bugcatcher), each of which could have some kind of specialty in traning a type of pokemon....Not to mention that each different trainer type should have a seperate model to give the game diversity and options. Also, if you could manage, a save/load feature that allows players to save their character type, pokemon, pokemon levels, items, badges and the like, would be a concept to die for in a pokemon map. I know this all might be a little much to handle, but I'd be glad to offer more advice, or maybe help out in some of the more complicated triggers if you need. This looks promising, and I guarantee a save/load feature would help it a lot. -Sentinel |

I would like to thank everyone for their support, and I will be beginning the map shortly. I intend to make the multiplayer map first and I won't be creating any new models until I get 3D Studio Max (which will be soon). I'll let you know when I begin. Any ideas that anyone can think of that would make the game better would be good. Thanks Again -Harbinger2004 |

Some time ago (not too long ago) someone tried to make a map with similar ideas. You could give a search since I forgot his name (I'm bad with names) to ask for his models if he wants to share them. It'll save you some work. -Fladian |

I would definately like to help in such an idea, but perhaps as it's been stated make it for older people. Lots of people like the Poke'mon "CONCEPT" but not Poke'mon itself. Maybe a more original idea and design the rpg as an entirely different game but put the good aspects of Poke'mon in it. Original monsters that evolve in much the same way, similar battles and tactics etc. Either way I think that it would make it much more popular and fun to play as well as build. |
