how to make collision cause death

I'm creating a minigame as part of one of my maps. In this minigame, a transport ship has to carry the captain unit through a deadly maze of ice floes and glaciers and whatnot... Basically, if the ship touches anything it sinks....
now I know you can do this with rects (regions, if you want to call them that...) but it takes TONS of them. I want to know if there is a handier way...

You could make the glaciers and ice floes units with a reversed Unholy Aura.

Or you can give them the permenet immulasion ability. Make a unit with the glasier model give him the locust ability and the permenet immulasion ability (custom afcourse) make it deal os much damage as you want and there you have it ^_^
