I downloaded HeroRPG yesterday and played it today. Since I think turn-based system own I really would like to use this in my campaign. But since it ain't perfect (hrr, hrr) I'm planning to do major changes to it (Like adding Skilltrees, summons, wiping out 80% of the variables etc.). What I'm wondering is if I am allowed to do this. Otherwise I get to write a new engine. Which is pretty time consuming *gasp*.. I ofcourse will give credits. And since the Campaign is going to be long. It will probebly be out the same time as Starcraft 2. And your grandsons will be really proud of you :D . |

I don't mind but may I suggest you to wait for the BattleDemo (see it official thread). It will have more power than the system used in HeroRPG and should be more user-friendly. Note: I'll update the thread this evening so come back soon to see the current version of the map. |

The Battle Demo come to late. Already exported all triggers into a .txt file and started writing. Instead of decreasing the variables, I'm increasing them with like 1000%. Adding Mods for everything. Rewriting. New system for Stat tracking. New menu system. New Field System. New Town system. New Item System. New Interaction syst... ... .. I think I'm more of writing a new engine after all >.> |
