when playing on bnet u want your maps settings type game to have certain players as the computer some as rescuable and etc etc... so how does one keep them that player? What i have done so far if u dont understand is made two teams one team should be computer i set it as that but when i play it u can select that team to be a player in other words i wanna ghost it out so that players dont interfere with the wrong team In the same frame of mind how is it possible to lock the players race so that they are for instance only human and cant change that ? much thanks for ppl that are willing to spend time to read this and answer:foot: |

Guest | This is easily accomplished. The answer to both questions is located in the same area of the World Editor. Open up your world editor. At the top you will see a list of menu names that you can click on to bring down menus. File Edit View Layer Scenario Tools Module Windows Help Click on Scenario and then click on Player Properties. In the window that pops up you can now set what race each player is and set what type of player a certain player will be. So if you wanted to make Red a computer player you would choose Computer in the last box for player one. |

-I have tried that already sorry i meant to say how do you make it so that a player cannot change it maybe this is just the enhanced WE stopping this but i will check it |

You might have done something wrong cause I've never had any problems with this feature. |

I have exactly the same question here, I have maps that I have downloaded that do exactly what is describe as the problem. I have attempted to duplicate this by forcing the computer to be computer, instead of user, but still I go in and open my map and I can freely choose the player, and it is not grey'd out. |

Here's the way to describe the answer to your previous question iceslushee, When I go to single player, I choose my map, I can freely choose the type of player, computer easy, normal, insane etc.. I can also choose their race, and their team, and their color. I don't want to be able to choose them. The only thing my map is doing correctly, is dividing each team into forces. |

There is a box that must be checked. Sorry but I don't remember the name its something like use map settings. Edit: There are 2 boxes under forces - Use custom forces - Fixed player settings |

Try Fixed Player Settings? |

yes it greys the settings out but its sticks on random instead of human... and this will not make the player-color stay as the standard config |

ok so far i got the computer teams to stick as computer and the colours dont change and the race is set... as random! i know for a fact that in the WE i selected players as human why oh why is this comin up as random on bnet? |

I have both custom forces selected and fixed player locations, and I still can select the type of computer player, race, team etc.. any other ideas ? |

You must also select fixed player settings. But there is no way to avoid team/computer selecting only the race. |
