Ive never really taken the time to realistically (as far as realistically can go in Warcraft) portray any terrain in WC3. This is my first attempt at trying to terrain a very small pathway in Ashenvale. Feedback is appretiated, but please, this is my first attempt. Thanks |

Not bad. Some advice for you though. If you're trying to terrain a pathway, try not to use rock tiles. It's pretty rare to see rock forming a pathway to anywhere. Usually it's dirt. I'd also suggest that you use all the ashenvale tiles. They fit together nicely and the leaves and vines especially add an ashenvale touch. I like the fog you used, but you should make it denser. Move the Z start and Z end closer to the camera to create a sense of being in a dense forest. Keep it up. |

Actually I think this tile would look like if the way was paved, it's consistent with the fact that there is are a statue and columns in ruins => it's not a natural road, maybe an old one leading to some forgotten sanctuary. |

I would have to agree with Murcielago). More ground level fill-ins would make it seem denser. More real. The pathway looks nice, and I like the 'ruined' touch. Just remember if your ever in the forest in real life (not saying an Ashenvale forest, just a normal one) it's hard to travel off of a path withOUT stepping over pushes and talk grass and such. The forest floor should be nearly covered with such things. Small deer paths and such would be an example of almost the only parts of the terrain you would want bare (aside from the man-made paths of course). Overall... I like it. -MadBagOfHorses |

Or elf-made paths :) Try to use large patches of dense grass under trees, with small patches of vines and leaves. Then put lots of environmental stuff around, you'll make it look very good. The rock path is ok, if you'd like to represent a paved road, just lift it a bit above the general terrain in that case. Try to use denser fog, as suggested before, and moonlight effect - those make Ashenvale look great |

Good work there. Trees are way better when scaled up, they give much more of the forest feel into it. Nice work altogether, but as the others already said, needs more bushes and grasses. I like the road, would almost imagine where such a path would lead one travelling through. ![]() |
