Hey, this is a high poly forge that i am working on for the Project revolution mod, and im submitting it to the "fan creations" section of that forum. I wanted to post it here so that i could maybe get some crits on it, some ways to improve it.

First Version:

Version 2:

Version 3:

so there we go! the progression of the model!

please comment on the third version only, because that is where i am currently. constructive criticism please!

umm no, unless you speak of prerendered cinematics. i am planning on making a much lower poly version for the actual game play, but i wanted to do this first, because, honestly, doing a high poly version is a great way to get ideas for a smaller one.

Hey, it's a model :)

I have to say the model is fantastic, but you should make the skin a bit more detailed (or do the details via models, it's high poly anyway :)) - try putting plates of somekind all around, or perhaps lights and stuff. The ball in the "reactor" should be an energy ball, perhaps do it with moving textures (kinda like water) or put some lightnings around. Other than that, it's great :)

i agree those things would look cool, but im trying to keep it accurate to the sprite in the starcraft game, because that is a requirement for all pr models :D

well, i guess it might be eligible for the offtopic section, but its meant for a project here at the site, so its really not so offtopic

WHOOT! sh**t man, if you continue on starcraft stuff, you could do some scenes of starcraft high-poly

This model could be made more detailed and used for a glue screen for wc3 though
