Final Fantasy - Sunken World

I am trying to gather a team of people for a huge open RPG map. In this map I

hope to use hero building, all custom models for playable units, many classes for

players to advance to and many other goodies. Unfortunately let's cut to the

quick, I suck at terraining and my triggering isn't the best ever, what I specialize

at is making spells and balancing units well. I am seeking anyone willing to help

including people with just ideas and plot. Credit will be given for all that help

thank you all for your time and I expect feed back :D

Yes! Finally, a thread which I can use as an example to others... err...

SomyrGor, you showed (partly) the start of a bad project :P

Because of the location of the thread, I take it it is a B.net map, right? If you want ALL units to have new models, it will be completely unplayable, take that from me. Also, multiple classes (also new models) will make it only harder to be playable.

You also said you aren't good in terraining and triggering, the 2 basic jobs of the WE. Making spells and balancing is a good thing, but still, it would not be *too* much work, especially not in the beginning.

You also don't havea story, ideas, plot what so ever, showing that it has no potential that anyone could look up to at the moment.

So, do not expect help anytime soon, since modelers are already rare to find, terrainers do not gladly take on a job such as this. Or at least, I won't. And yes, I'm a terraine... err... retired terrainer. I'm not sure about triggerers, but I guess you could learn them yourself.
Without a plot there isn't much use of starting it. Pretty much all we know, is that you want to start a map, with custom models based off 'Final Fantasy' (Sunken World, is that the name you made?)

Thank you for the time

First off, yes I do have some story line - I could easily use the plot from a game I

made several years back and yes custom models can be used and the map still

playable - the secret is keeping the polycount reasonable. Now if your not willing

to help please dont sit there and criticize my attempts I said I was bad at

triggering but I can do it, i've made over 7 maps on my own. Further on plot

though it being a open RPG it wont really need too much of it. All I really need

right now is model/skin makers, a person good at advanced triggering and

someone to design the terrain.
