cool a multiplayer fps, I am going to play this when it comes out! P.S. will it have higher terrain also that is pretty high up for good sniping spots? and will it have lower terrain? and I suppose you will have to use lots of shrubs and stuff to have the unit hide in and can you mabey have it so you can pick up some special items like a cloak that attaches a shrub model to his chest to make him harder to see? well anyway this should be awsome! |

Well.. A cool idea would be... If possible... make it so enemys cannot be selected. When you shoot, it would cast some sort of modified shockwave out in front of you, the only way to kill the enemy. This would make SS3 Goku's idea work better. You could buy items that would attack foliage to certain parts of your body, so you cannot put your mouse over the enemy to highlight them. |

To ss3 goku evils tryin out ur idea rite now, Yes there is going to be higher terrain for sniping spots, Kleptik u can select ur enemy but the way u shoot is u right click when u have ur scope on. Btw nice ideas kleptic and ss3 i think we're gonna implement those into our map. ![]() |

alright cool, this map is gonna be awsome! how did you get the first person cam to work? |

The Camera works really well right now. It is and third person camera as well as a first person camera. It's kinda hard to explain but it works well. Heres some screen shots of what it looks like now. Many things you see in these pictures may change later on because the map is only around 50 % done. Visit E.W. Oooh looks good. Have you tested it for multiplayer lag? The camera and doodads might possibly cause some lag problems on bnet, which might just ruin it. And also Kleptik's idea is rather good. It doesn't allow people to hold alt to view health bars (thus seeing through trees), and also prevents lots of problems that come up when you try to detect a rightclick on a unit. I've been experimenting around with these kind of stuff for some time and I would be glad to offer any assistance. Looks really good. I can't tell about the gameplay, but the idea is good and the terrain looks sweet. The camera height is also just nice. |

Yeah we've tested it, No lag for anyone we tested with, But we didnt test with any 56kers. The terrain was done by me and so was the doodad placement, most of the triggers are done by evil1. |

Heh, I know a guy who uses SotN (Sign of the Ninja) as a user name. This is a great idea. Now if only I had thought of it, then it would 8 foot tall laser shooting teddy bears. |

This looks really cool. Could I advise one thing thought? Spawn point invunrability. Take for example there's a nice little sniping spot which over looks the spawn point of a certain player. The last thing that the player being shot at wants is to spawn and get killed instantly. Basicly create a region where the player will spawn and grant the player inside invunrability. Give some conditions like only player X can be invunrable in the area. It would be a useful feature as long as you can prevent people from constantly using it. Perhaps a 10 second countdown? ![]() |
