Map file will not open

For some reason, my map file will not open. When I try to open it, this message comes up:

Unable to load file 'Blah Blah Blah location of file'
-Main map file could not be opened

I didn't use WE Unlimited, or any other form of non-official editor programs, nor did I protect it. Can anyone help? Good thing I have a back-up copy (although its a few days old).

Hm, either its protected, and your trying to steal it, or your telling the truth.


Did you test it relativly soon, like within the past day, is so, hit open in WE, find the folder that says TEST, in the MAPS folder in your wc3 folder, now open the test map, if its TFT, open that one, if its RoC, then open that one. Hope if helps, this kind of thing has burned me tons of times, therefore i keep about 100 backups.

It's likely that you overwrote the map file when you imported something. Tough luck, it's gone.

No, I haven't tested it anytime recently, but I saved the backup copy yesterday :). Thanks for trying anyway.
