Thunder Bluff

I challenge anyone to make Thunder Bluff, the Tauren Port City located in the plains of Kalimdor. It is in World of Warcraft, and I might have an unfair advantage since I am in the WoW Beta, but there are a lot of screen shots/information about it in Blizzard's site/the WoW site. Good luck.

Have fun.

I think Murceliago (Sp?) has an awsome tauren based terrain and it's near an ocean just like in that shot...

Actually, that isn't an ocean, it's just the Fog. Trust me, I have the WoW beta, and I play as tauren (Hence, this topic.) I love Thunder Bluff, it is actually the biggest port city in World of Warcraft (as far as I have heard/seen). There are so many shops and places to go, it is just GIANT, compared to the other cities. The background that looks like ocean is fog, and it is really just more plains beyond Thunder Bluff. If you look in the first shot, you can see a rock/mountian sticking out of the fog. Just don't be mistaken if you join in this competition. Don't make an ocean back there. Make it as close to the real thing as you can, and any skins/models are allowed, so the sky's the limit (Well not really, since you can skin the sky, too)

*sigh* Port City as in, Gryphons and other "Portal" mounts (Hippogryphs, Gryphons, etc). The city itself it the largest city in the game, and by port city, it means it has a port for mounts. Not BOAT ports.

I need proof of that. If you are in the beta, have you ever been to both? I haven't personally been to Stormwind, but I usually hang out in Thunder Bluff, and form everyone I talked to in the city, I heard it was the biggest--- but I could be mistaken. Maybe they were talking about the population. It is always the most filled with people, because of the convenient location in the middle of some major areas (Don't ask me what--- I just heard it from people). Anyway, form what I have heard and seen, Thunder Bluff is the biggest city that has an Air-port in it. Storm Wind is pretty damn big, too, though.

Go to both and compare. I am pretty sure that Thunder Bluff is bigger in size AND population, if not, then I am still 100% sure that it has a bigger average population of people there. Someone who has beta should check. Anyway, I am working hard on my thunder bluff terrain for this challenge. I will be done in 30 minutes maybe. I have been working since this morning at around when I posted this challenge. :8

Finished. Take a look at the pictures.
Information on pictures:
Well, first of all, every skin was done my me, with the exception of the Spirit Lodge. I got that from Warcraft Warehouse, under Building Skins.
Some things you might want to know:
I skinned a lot of things that you might not notice. I skinned the Rocky Ground on the cliffs so that they were more brown, as opposed to the gray, almost white rock that was there before. Also, if you notice in the pictures, you can see these brown cloth walls that the tauren have surrounding the town. I made those by skinning the Human Blue Banner to be brown, and then making it big, and sinking it into the ground, to create a moving cloth wall that blows in the wind and looks very real and unique.

Look around in the pictures, there is a lot to be seen ^_^

Also, if anyone wants any of the skins I used, let me know and I can send them, but make sure to give credit. ;)

I think you had the unfair advantage of all those custom models. But you do have good building placement so to you..
