After you have made a model how do make the skin for it. This model is completely custom and was made with milkshape 3d. I think it got something to do with unwrapping the model?? And i've searched around and I can't find a tut i can understand anywhere so please don't flame me or call me a newb. |

Not too sure about milkshape but i personally use ultimate unwrap 3d http://www.unwrap3d.com/ , however this program costs about 40 dollars. It does all the unwrapping and so forth for you and exports a bmp file so you can start skinning. Theres also i program called chilliskinner which is free but this program tends to deform complex meshes so thats the downside to it. Remember im not familliar with milkshape but id go ahead anyway and check these programs out. good luck ![]() |

Ok, im unfamiliar with the milkshape way, but I sugest finding a way to convert whatever file format you have into a mdx or mdl. If you have found a way to convert to MDX then use Youbls to convert it to MDL, if you converted to MDL then you saved youself a step. Download O.W's vertex modify. Once you have done so, open your model in it and go to the UV mapper in tools. Load your skin as a .jpeg into it and position your model's faces around the skin. Make sure you picked a WC based model with an Alpha channel in it. Once you've positioned it go into your MDL and find the path, change it to the path of your skin. Convert it back to MDX and upload into your map, if you are not satisfied with the skin then you can edit the skin you put the path as, and change the path to something like... Textures\MySkin.blp and upload your edited skin with it like that. You are done! And yes, yes, you are a newb. :8 |

Do you already have the texture that needs to be applied to it, or are you asking about that as well? It sounds like you would be best off reading a tutorial on exporting from Milkshape so you can come to us with more specific problems. |
