Solarus Elf - Leo Scout

This is the 2nd unit from my newborn race Solarus Elves. Similar to N.E's but they honour Solarus instead of Elune. The 3rd unit is a Lion-Druid called a Pride Guardian (I've already converted the lion for his morph). Any useful comments or ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks. :>

:> Thankyou to all posters. Updated images are now available further down thread :D

I know. It's almost embaressing :( . I was originally going to try orange but it looked worse. I'll take tiki's advice, hit it with burn and sharpen tomorrow morning and stop being lazy, lol. I can recolor and texture the whole thing in 10 mins if you have an idea for a replacement.

Very, very original idea and so far good looking skin. But yah as everyone else has said use Dodge and Burn. And I gotta ask you did you just alpha the whole blade out to make it look like a spear?

And maybe make the green darker er something....

Add some black around the borders of the colors. Also, add some shading around some of the areas it seems to lack that. The green has got to go, change it to red or something. Last thing is that you should add some lion stripes to his body.

wut about a wood type thing for the green you know, or the shield is made of woods and the armor is made out of silver/red metal or something.

Na, I've just got this personal thing about new skins on 100% Blizzard models. I used max to reshape the shield and bend up the Lion's ears. The weapon is a merge from the dragonspawn model, I just thinned and shortened it.

Tiki what if I used a light orange or a yellow-ish tan for armour (like leather) ??? Thanks for the feedback, this is going to help a lot on other models. :> I'll repost the changes soon.

OK, thanks for all the suggestions, I think I'm getting closer :> . I will keep the green one as a Solarus warrior however I may end up converting the lion to a tiger. I took the coloring advice (Tiki, Mantis, FT) and did some experimentation with red as well.

The red**pink and gold isn't my favourite but it's gotten good response from others. Please let me know whether it's improved enough and what else needs doing. :D

2nd color scheme is much better, less hurting to the eye...

allthough you still need some more shading and texturing. the model if fun, the idea could result in something good.

nice job, i like the red huntress looks good... just add a bit more shading here and there, and maybe work on lions fur and it will be perfect.

I definetely like the second one. However the elf's skin and the lion's fur matches a little to much. Maybe make the lion's fur a bit browner. But the red looks great! Very nice work!
