1: Use less "Doodad Painting", which is just clicking on a doodad and then literally painting it across the terrain (While holding shift or otherwise.). It looks better if you place each doodad one at a time. 2: Use more swamp-like doodads, and other things found in a swamp. Use vines and felwood/ashenvale trees, tint the water to be darker blue/green-ish, and use mossy rocks in it. 3: I see you are using the common idea of tall barrels as walls, in the background. When I did that in my terrain, made it swamp-like. If you are going to keep that, BlacKmage, then I suggest you do the same, otherwise it stands out too much. Look at mine and see how I put all those vines on the walls and such--- And you know what terrain pictures I am talking about, since we a friends ;) |

Yeah, that was my goal but after speaking to DarkElune and others for opinions I decided to remove the human encaptment completely, it would just lead to a war RP anyways...Also, Im starting to place invidivually the doodads. |

...huh? Wait, this is for an RP map? Was that a little slip there, Blackmage? Have you joined Draike and DarkElune now, suddenly, instead of us? That saddens me so. Please talk to me *ahem* |

I havent joined anyone, I merely left you and decided to make a terrain for an RP. I havent decided yet who will get it though. |

Not bad, but where's that waterfall coming from? Swamps usually have stagnant water, so this waterfall looks kind of out of place. You can also tint the water to make it look darker/dirtier. Another thing to remember is to please post your images in .jpg format. It lessens the load time. |

I cant post in JPG format, my Photoshop went dead and Paint dosent let me. Also, the waterfall is going to be build into a large cliff structure. And if I tinted the water it would tint for the whole map and thats not a good idea since Im going to need clean water for human parts. |

In paint you can do "Save As" and then select the file type as .jpg. |

I cant =/ Sucks huh? |

2: For an RP map of large proportions, I have probably said this before, too many doodads will cause: A: Massive Loading Times! B: Extreme Lag for 56Kers! C: Too Big of a File Size! D:Incompatability with most RP stories! E: Diareah! 3: We are willing to use the terrain for our RP map, as long as it isn't massive 4: It looks good, except for the things I said above. And don't overdo it with Bright Green doodads--- A swamp doesn't have Palm Trees; Islands and beaches do. Here are some examples: Swamp ![]() Beach ![]() 5: A swamp is a swamp because of old, rotting, nasty things that stay in a swamp because of a lack of rushing water. A waterfall would churn the water and cause a river or stream, most likely, and the water would begin moving and the life would move down the river and end up in a lake...or something...Anyway, a swamp conditioned-area wouldn't have running/churning water, realisticly, but I suppose since this is Warcraft, we can let it slide :> |
