i'm corrently investigating them by vÃÂ*a mdl and 3ds max, they make incredible effects to models, for example onmi lights in Rocking Arthas, if you see the Trumpet or Megaphone of the model, you will see that some waves go out in way to make like rocking music, does are omni lights, a model have 3 types Ambient , Directional and Omni Directional. so plz if some1 knows of any model like it post it here (not the mdx and blp, i take care of it) |

I'm almost certain that ALL wc3 models with light sources use omni lights. I recall somebody saying that there was provision for other types, but I believe there was no actual proof that it had been done. Certainly, that's all I've ever seen. Take a look at nub's mdl specifications if you want to know. Models with light sources include torches (those marked in WE as being light sources), the cinematic lightning, a few effects such as earthquake and the red summoning "lightning," and the "sun" model for each tileset (good luck tracking *that* down). I'm fairly sure that the infernal is solely emitters, and that may be the case with the fire pit as well. There may be units that use emitters, but none that I can think of off the top of my head (well, besides fire elementals, stormbringers and Luthien in FoK ^_^ ). KDEWolf's light source models also use omni, though that makes sense, given that they're basically modified torches. |
