Morrowind - The Chimer Chronicles

THE CHIMER CHRONICLES

Intro: The Chimer Chronicles is based on The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and the history that was what lead to the great game it makes today. The mod is generally based around The Battle at Red Mountain and the Allegiance and War between the Chimer and Dwemer, also the War against the Nord invasion of Resdayn. This is The Chimer Chronicles… Enjoy ;)

NOTE: Resdayn is Vvardenfell which is the main island this is all based on, which is located in Morrowind which is the Mainland of Vvardenfell.

Me and 2 other people are working on this project so far with about 60% of the basic concept worked out (Story, Tech Tree, etc.) and generally everything ready to go and start.

If your interested in joining this project we need some positions filled:

Team:
Concept/Literature - Jubz, Player_1.
Mapper - Jubz, Player_1.
Triggerer - Wadley.
Modeller -
Skinner -
Voice/SFX - Jubz.
Misc Jobs (Programming, Screens, Icons, Battle Systems so on so forth) - Wadley (Major Scripting), Jubz (Random), Player_1 (Random).

I am doing Modelling and Trigger work to an EXTENT and Player_1 is doing the Skinning to an Extent. So generally these are positions that we NEED...

Skinner Modeller Triggers.

As i said before Player_1 and I are doing Model/Skin work but only to an extent because i am having trouble doing many a jobs from Concepts, Literature to Mapping it out. If you are willing to do any other jobs we are more than happy to take on Extra's into other posistions.

Post in this Thread if you have an Interest in helping out... If you do need a MORE indepth story look in Morrowind Books on the Imperial Library and find History then go to documents from the battle at red mountain. For Morrowind/War3 Nerds like me if you know some stuff about the story that might be helpful, give me a line in the Thread.


IMPORTANT!!! We are trying to take the feel of the average War 3 Gaming out of it by making it more Strategic. Something were you have to have a STRATEGY to be above the rest. Building's have less involvment but only to the extent where it doesnt take the fun but GIVES the fun o_O

Morrowind project? Wasn't there one running already? I'm pretty sure there was already a morrowind project around here somewhere. Why not just join that one?

I don't know the slightest thing about Morrowind, nor do I got the time to search for the books and things, so you might want to post a link for it or anything similar.

I don't see many too hard stuff or so, so I can remove my 'speech' right now.

The events in the Red Mountain, on the Tribunal side.

Nerevar at Red Mountain - Tribunal Temple
A very top secret document, telling the events in the Red Mountain in the Ashlander's point of view.

The War of the First Council - Agrippa Fundilius
Very brief tale about Nerevar and the war.

You will find detailled storys on what happened at Red Mountain in these books.
DO NOT manage to accedently slip into other books about Red mountain cause its ALL LIES! Well just not as Accurate...

THE STORY ITSELF BUT BRIEF:
The Dwemer and Chimer Houses of Morrowind (Resdayn) have been at war for there known existence because of their beliefs. Dwemer believe in there MYSTERIOUS GOD which has granted them strange powers, whereas the Chimer believe in the Daedra as there gods. At first Dwemer Houses (Dagoth and Dwemer) promised the Western Forces (Orcs and Nords) Booty and Land for their aid, then at a later point after Chimers consecutive defeats Western forces attempt to invade Resdayn for themself thats when the Mighty Hero Nerevar and his 3 Councillors United the Chimer and Dwemer to fight off the nordic forces. In this allegiance Dumac and Nerever (The kings of each side) became good friends till Dagoth Ur Patron of house dagoth tells nerevar about Kagrenac (High Dwemer Priest) plans to make a god to take Resdayn which Dumac (King Dwemer) doesnt know about which ends up back to the war of religions and all the HIDDEN secrets come out which leads to the end of the war which i will not give away.

Also the Other Morrowind Mod is nothing like this it is just you pick a side and fight... well they all are but he does not follow Morrowind Lore he is using the Gods/Spirits (Daedra) as a side whereas they are not... This is precise to Tamriellic Lore and History. If in someway we could fuse our idea's that would be great im happy to see other people putting there sights on morrowind mods.

BUT i will NOT give this mod up because of the fact 2 of my friends and I have already planned and begun slightly this Mod.

If possible you could create the 2 mods one, it will save some work for sure. I don't know the slightest thing about Morrowind, so what you say might be true, but I don't know. I only need to keep the peace here :P

Anyway, you should not give up as fast as that just because someone else is working on one. I just suggested that you might become 1 project, it'll save quite some stuff.

The being hated thing for Reputation is standard, nothing else you can do about it except receive more positive rep ;)

I would join if I could, I'm not expert at anything but I can do some triggering and I'm learning more and more. If it is needed I can recolor skins too.

LOL Soz about the Double Post... Ive been many moderators before :P i know what you mean... And i wasnt saying ill give up i was saying i wont but im willing to fuse in some way :P NO WAY im giving up my project so suddenly.

And Triggers even if you can only do basic its better than nothing, i need Dedication like many Teams need. Get back to this thread reguraly, i will post up who the new members are after i finalise a few more people.

And I did play Morrowind some months ago. I did a bit more then half a dozen of the story line quests and about the same for warriors guild. So I know Morrowind quite well, but I didn't read all those story books to much. :(
