I tried placing this post in the staff forum before to get an inside perspective but unfortuantly this post had been pretty ignored and failed its intent. THIS IS THE FIRST 13/(18 japanese) EPISODES ONLY...NO SUPER SAIYANS IN OTHERS WORDS Somethings to note: I'm not modeling or skining, I failed once at doing that...Not doing it again. If someone made Z models/Skins and wants to give me them Coo! The plan really goes on the idea that once I have spells done I can work on the menu and triggering but there really won't be such heavy triggers as it is a Z rpg after all. So here goes a list of charachters I'm not quite sure on everything but I know no one except goku reaches level 10, and I think only Goku and maybe piccolo will have 4 spells becuase of that. So I need your input on what you think each char spells should be based on or if the spell I'm suggesting is impossible or stupid. Also if theres a??? you can suggest an attack Also if I have an item in () thats my idea on what the spell/unit should be. Growth Rate means how many stats points the charachter gets per level. the Number in parentesis is the amount he gains for his final level. Charachter 1: Goku-10 levels Growth Rate-10 (10). (That means he gains a 100 points total!) ------------------------ Kamahaha-Beam Attack. Zanzokidan-Allows goku to move blindingly fast and dodge attacks (Evasion) ????-??? Kaio-Ken (ultimate)-Gives Goku a boost of attack and speed in exchange for hit points. (Unholy Frenzy) Charachter 2: Piccolo (BladeMaster)-8 levels Growth Rate-8 (10) (To see the contrast in Power piccolo gets alot less points 8*7+10=66 piccolo gets only 2/3 as much as the mighty Goku). -------------------------- Split Form- Piccolo can split into 2 charachters, his split form will be weaker then him but will get stronger after levels (mirror Image) MakankoSappo- Beam attack needs a cast time delay. Meditation- Piccolo will be unable to move but while meditate will gain Ki mana much faster. Mega-Grow (ultimate)-Piccolo Grows to twice his size and is able to deal alot o damage (AVATAR) Charachter 3 Tien -6 levels Growth Rate-6 (8) (A pitiful 38 gained for Tien) ---------------------------- 4-man attack- Tiens renowned ability, Tien can split into 4 charachters all of which can attack, however they will be ridiculusly weak becuase of such a split in power. (Mirror Image) Kilikaoh- A pin-point acurate attack with very long range. (Finger of Death with mana cost ofcourse.) Tri-Fireball- Tien fires 3 fireballs at the enemy, though each fireball is relatively weak, the combination of the 3 makes the attack not suck. Charachter 4 Krillian-5 levels Growth Rate-5 (10) (30 for krillian) ------------------------- Kamahaha-Same exact thing as goku, shocking that such a weakling has this attack. Zanzokidan-Same exact thing as Gokus amazing! Sokidan- A long range seeking ball of energy that will cuase whos attack from it to be stuned. (Firebolt/StormHammer) Charachter 5 Gohan-5 levels Growth Rate-6 (6) (30 for Gohan) ------------------------ Masenko Ha-A beam attack, shorter range then the Kamahamaha and weaker. AGA-Gohan gets really pissed and unleashes a cry that creates a energy aura that damage nearby enemy makes them be stunned or slowed (not sure either Tuarrens Stomp thingy or Moutain Kings stomp thingy) Fireball- A low cost, low damage fireball that merely hurts the enemy. (Death Coil toned down) Character 6-Yamcha-4 levels (In other words DAMN YOUR WEAK) Growth Rate-4 (8) (20 for Yamcha, Goku is 5 TIMES stronger then YAMCHA at the end of the game EASY.) ------------------------- Sokidans-Krillians Attack Wolf Attack-This is difficult, becuase its different sometimes he turns into a wolf and attacks, sometimes his hands turn into wolf claws, and other times from his high speed attack wolves are formed and attack the oponent. Also Every Charachter will get Critical Strike. The stat screen will be revamped. IT will now be formated like so [means button] Stat Point Remaining (Stat points here) HP: current HP/Max HP Attack: Current Attack from min-max Attack Rate: Current Attack Rate Ki: Current MP/Max MP [Add1 point to Str (Current Str) ] [Add 1 point to Agi (Current Agi)] [Add 1 point to Int (current Int) ] [ Cancel ] Fhew what a long post! |

They all look like they are possible, but i never played with the spells so i woundnt have the slightest idea how to do that. I think that a few would be mulitple part triggers, kinda like the sorceresses polymorph, and im not sure if that would be possible just yet. For know i would just make the game, and if you have to change an ability, just make sure that you change it in game. And try to get a hold of the person that did the spells for rise of krill, because he could probably help you the most of anyone. Oh yea, and for a third attack for goku, why dont you make it Multi-kick, with it hitting 2 times the first attack, 4 the second attack, and 6 the third attack, and have it do somewere around 100 hp per hit. Im always seeing these big fights were they go kicking mad, so it might just be good to add it as an ability. and for picolos ability were he regenerates ki at a faster pace, maybe you can just make it from the gargs stone form, with him taking less time but regenerating the more mana every time, like 20 seconds for 100, 15 seconds for 200, and 10 seconds for 300. And another idea, maybe it can restore his hp and mana, since he can regenerate limbs and other things. And for the wolf fang fist, maybe you can use shockwave and use the far seers wolf pet as the model so it looks like how you were saying. You gotta comprimise on some of this, since i doubt you will be able to make hero skill variables, where when its used it does this some of the time and that some of the time, because the actual ability files don't allow for variables. Maybe you can set something up in the game since your the trigger master, but not any way of doing it through the .slk or .txt files. But really try to find the spell maker for rise of krill, since he can do the stuff your asking about im sure. And if you cant find a way to make the shadow permenant (if you want it to be) just make a trigger were it replaces the shadow with a new picolo and it makes the new ones hp equal to the old ones. Alot of this is just ideas so im not expecting that anyone gives a crap, im just saying what i think might work. |

Well Shadows Images aren't meant to be permenant. :D I'm going for a Strictly SLK aproach as I'm look at Hell Triggers on the Stat Menu alone. Cezelaon and I were throwing around Stone Form, but I'm not sure how to make it use 3 different units, and what not. |

Heh, looks like I'm not gonna be the only one making a DBZ game. I haven't started changing any spells yet (mostly just some movies and dialog/trigger work. Lol, maybe ppl will make us both some skins! :D |

Guest | are you mentally challenged? who would want to play that? nobody ofcourse!! your level limits are astounding! why do they stop gaining? first, if i were to make a DBZ (perhaps i am...), i wouldnt use levels as a stat base..... but rather for skill gain... create a trigger that whenever a unit owned by any player is attacked, the attacker gets gold equal to 10% of damage done, gold is instantly deleted and the ammount is added to score(just to confuse you, heh) minimum being 1 ofcourse, this also allows you to get score equal to the ammount of bounty once the target dies, once a player's score reaches a certain ammount, Agility, Strength, and Intelligence increases by a certain ammount depending on character in addition to the stat gaining of fighting, you can also raise your stats by going to training.... maybe create a beacon or something with some unit standing by it, to signify what it is, and when they step on it, they activate the "training", such things as weight training, would show your character playing their attack animations, standing in place, every set number of seconds (even minutes) they gain 1 strength, if the player issues an order of any type, then the training turns off automatically i decided i wouldn't put any actual triggers here because... well i just didn't feel like being THAT helpful, but i think you might be able to figure out something from that little diagram as for the moves..... cough..... well they are all wro...... know what? they are all right.... yep, go do that.... |

Ok, I have a few spell ideas. For Goku, you should give him a normal ability Kaio-Ken (Bloodlust) which can be leveled to X 1-3. His ultimate should be the Kaio-Ken Times 4 which tears the shit outta his body but drastically improves his power (Bloodlust AND Unholy Frensy). Also, Krillan is NOT a weakling, since his Destructo Disk could've easily killed Nappa if Vegita didn't warn him. Make the Destructo Disk Krillan's Ultimate, and allow him to get to level 6. Hell, I'd at least allow each character to get to level 6, since it's fairly pointless not to. This would at least allow getting all three skills to lvl 2. Oh, the Spirit Wolf Shockwave for Wolf Fang Fist idea is brilliant in my opinion! I have an Idea for the different types of Wolf Fang Fists: Carrion Swarm AND Shockwave. Shockwave would be the indiscriminant shooting of the wolf, and Carrion Swarm would show Yamcha striking his targets as a wolf. Just to clear things up: Wolf Fang Fist is an illusion technique as well as a power boosting move. It's meant to confuse the enemy to make him vulnerable, and that's why it can look different each time. I made a Piccolo skin from the Priest, but I'm having slight troubles with the hair. I'm giving up and I'll just make the hair all white for his Turban. The priest model really is good for Piccolo since it has a sitting/meditating animation which is perfect for Piccolo. Plus, The beard from the blademaster looks wrong. I'll post the skin for both you and Draco once I finish it. As for Goku I can't think of any model that's even close! -Insaniteus- |

Guest | Bah, I was working on a Dragon Ball game myself... It wasn't like this, a extremely weak version of DBZ. I was going for more of a DB movie approach. As in, set in the DBZ universe, but not really affilitated with the timeline. Sort of like Tree of Might, where it's the characters being badass, but not fitting in with the episodes. That way I could have new bad guys to fight and stuff like that. Goku wasn't going to be the main character either.... Anyways, if you two do a good job then I can go ahead and scrap my map. I'm really not too good at making the terrain, so yeah. Heck, it took me several hours to come up with the effects and triggers for Goku's transformations. It'd probably take me a few weeks to finish the rest of the cast... :) So, good luck! |

First This is suppose to be a short 45-60 minute RPG. It'd be an incredible feat if Goku reaches level 10. Experience will be deminishing returned. For Yamcha (who I consider to probably be the hardest charachter to survive with cuz of his extreme weakness and thus the char I'll probably be using) It should take him upwards of 10 minutes to gain each level. Yamcha will probably have a handicap on his XP of 25,15,5%. That said sure training against level 1 sport players (he'll be able to fight sport people) will probably be able to earn you that first level but after that your going to have to look for your fights. Also There will be more to worry about then just stat distribution and skill point distribution. Items unfortuantly will probably be few and far between, there just really isn't much that can lend it self to the Z world. There will definetley be a dragon radar. This RPG will not be easy. I'm going to make it be pretty impossible for Goku to get back to earth before the saiyans do, Piccolo then tien the krillian & gohan will become the Nappa's punching bag...:D (Yamcha will die after the Saibaman fight scripted death) |

So, your maps gonna be multiplayer Weaaddar. It sucks when you get stuck with losers as your hero though. I'd make it like a 4player map. (Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and one person controlling Trunks and Goten) Mines gonna be single player so our maps probably won't be anything alike. P.S. Dont make ANYTHING close to other DBZ multiplayer maps. i.e. 1. Go through door. 2. Fight tons of monsters. 3. Repeat. |

Heh, no! Mines will be very scripted. Basically its starts with everyone except piccolo and goku stuck at their training locations, and gohan stuck in raditz's capsule. Piccolo and Goku can either trade or go off and start their way off towards Raditz (Training atleast 1 level is very suggested). Upon starting the fight with raditz and raditz has inflicted some damage for a while Gohan will apear and luanch his AGA attack on Raditz which will definetly help you out. After defeating raditz your treated to a cutscene where Goku grabs (not sure How i'll pull that one off) Raditz and piccolo fires a makankosappo into his chest killing both of them. After that Piccolo takes Gohan to the forest and trains him (This scene always bothered me, hmm heres Goku's worst enemy and he wants to take his son to the woods...to um train...yeah hes not gonna kill him...) While Krillian Tien and Yamcha get the fun job of finding the dragon balls. And Goku makes his merry way down snake road. That just a start but yeah you can see its not open doors then fight guys, its kill guys that cuase doors to opeN :D |

Piccolo doesn't wanna kill Gohan because when Raditz said two guys are coming even stronger than him Piccolo shit his pants. Remebering that he owes his life to Gohan's insanely powerful headbutt, he decides to teach this sissy boy how to properly use his latent powers. Hey, you said you didn't understand that scene. Nobody, not even overly-f-protective chi-chi says jack about it...Aparently in AKira's mind its perfectly normal for kids to be taken by giant green slugs into the woods where he will man handle them in the sake of making them stronger.. |
