Hey folks! Are you sick and tired of the whole "DotA" or "AoS" genre? Looking for something new? Something so incredibly innovative that you would sell your kidney just to play? Of course you're not! So I present to you, the one, the only, (after multiple, mutiple... and many more pre pre beta versions) Warpath - Martyr

Features:
+ Many heros on each side.
+ Completely custom abilities.
+ New models, skins, concepts... adventures? (snicker)
+ 8 outposts and 1 castle on each team, Undead vs Humans.
+ If an outpost is destroyed, and enemy outpost takes it place and generates units.
+ Fountians heal only allied units, and change sides with outposts.
+ Each hero has a custom set of upgrades, just for them. Upgrade buildings are at the top right and bottom left corners of the map.
+ Single Repick function.
+ Enemies killed by your allied faction kills, gives you a percentage of the bounty. The more they kill, the more free money you get!
+ Hero kills grant points to buy more skill points and/or attribute bonuses.
+ Crappy unfinished items! (Did I say that out loud?)
+ Allied creeps grow stronger and gain experience as hero levels progress.
+ Defensive Tower building! Oh boy!

Just check it out, its pretty neat, I think.
Its not REALLY incredibly polished, but you won't notice too much.
PLEASE PLEASE OH PLEASE just check it out.

Recomendations for heros to check out, to try and keep you interested.

There, I fixed the stupid glitch in the map, adjusted/revamped a LOT of spells, fixed a few of the items, not much though... Lets see... I dunno... thats about it, I'll post some screenies up here real soon, okey? Okey.

Alright, fixed the glitch where you can't host, *hopefully*, revamped a HOLE LOT OF SPELLS, hopefully they're all balanced out, I havn't got to beta some of the newest things in this version. I am going to today though, so yeah, you can all be my little beta helpers, yay. Anyway, added a buttload more items, Creeping spawns and hireing places... Better tower placement, super towers, yay.

K... Added super towers for both teams, both of which are different btw, as is my style. And added more items, added super items to the middle which don't work as they're supposed to... but whatever. Still give good bonuses/damage. Fixed a whole lot more spells, gave the Refractionist an attack spell, and above all, I fixed the problem with the map not being able to be hosted, so... enjoy. More.

This is, after all a beta map.

A few things.

The game is too slow. I just played for 30+ minutes and achieved very little. I got the Dwarf to level 8, with full upgrades (albeit no items) and was dealing a massive 16-22 damage per hit. That's, on average, 16 hits to kill 1 enemy unit (they were veteran at the time).

The far north Stronghold didn't have its order triggers working. There was a huge lump of troops sat there.

The selection of items is nice, but their bonuses is poor. they suit the low damage rates, but +2 attack is not at all appealing, compared to, say, +7 armour. i dont see why anyone would buy +2 attack, when they can save for something just slightly useful.

Suggestions:
Maybe add a shortcut to the war front? ...and Town portals to return faster. Proper town portals.
Slightly higher damage rates for heroes, and items to reflect that.
More varied upgrades for heroes.
More things to do. Whilst the map has some nice ideas, and unique heroes and effects, its 'just another AOS' when it comes down to gameplay.

Wow, thanks for the feedback. I realize the gameplay is rather slow... but I'm having some problems when it comes to items... I just am not good at balancing them, you know.

Some balancing definitly needs to be done on the heros, especially the melee ones.
I forgot to fix the place of that bunker when I had already moved one of the regions that its supposed to be on, while I was changing the terrain. Sorry about that, I'm working on a version now that is balancing some things, fixed the phoenix's ultimate, pretty cool now.

Out of curiosity, did you happen to try the other heros at all?

Oh, and folks, don't dl this map... gimme like... an hour and I'll release a new... balanced, better version. Love my work.

rsonally, I think you level too slowly and the towers are way too hard to destroy. Otherwise a fairly good AoS. :)

The goblin swine rider is overpowered level 5 fireshow can get rid of 80% of health on any unit. Really easy to kill towers. they couldnt even hurt me in the end.

Alright, I'll fix that, any notes about the gameplay though?
There are 8 barracks on each side, as you all know. The inner 4 of them are upgraded though, so they won't be overrun so easily if one of the outer outposts falls. But if an enemy takes control of a "uber barracks", they only get a basic one in place of it. And if you take control back agian, you get your uber barracks back, heh. Next version I'm gonna add raiding parties that spawn from the castle to assist troops randomly. Will make the game go faster and initiate a more chaotic gameplay style.

A collage (spelling?) of screens from a single beta test run with random people on the internet. Only 4 people were playing, 1 left right away, the other left later.
I have a new version ready, but I'm gonna do some hardcore work on it before I release anything, list of things to come.

+Leaderboard
+Elemental Attack/Armor Ratings
+Shops around the map
+More items
+Hireable creeps
+Caravans from nearby towns, filled with supplies and such.
+Better terrain (I promise)
+ And MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYBE Crafting in the waaay future.

Anyway, heres the screen, I'll work harder.

Heres the next hero preview, more... better... done... er.
The Dwarven Alemaster! This is one of the coolest characters in my mind... since I made the model and everything, MK model, brewmaster anims, raider sword, and keg added, of course. Thank you... thank you. Enjoy.

My map is currently version .78 Yeh.
Almost fully incorporated the elemental weapons system.
Added merc hiring, and creep spawn points.
Revamped a few skills. Especially for the Furnace Beast.
Random changes, grammatical errors.
Did some terraining, added more Deep waters so the "Waterwalk" ability will acctually be useful.
Lookin good so far, feedback?
Oh, I'll release my newest version sometime within this week, wanna get things crackin on it though.

Hmm...sounds nice. But I can't host it on battle.net...since every time I try to create a game it says "The game was not found."

It looks fairly decent. If your in need of any help with terraining or creating spells or heros just PM me and I'll see what I can do. I'm fairly good at creating spell triggers. ^^
