I found I gotta a fairly good talent in low pixel artwork, such as the ones displayed in Warcraft I. That's why I want to convert the Orcs & Humans in Warcraft I to Night Elves, and whatever other race seems applicable. Maybe a race featured in the History part of the World of Warcraft Beta Site. This will most likely be the Burning Legion, but who knows? Anyway, I have no idea at all how or if it will be possible to import unit graphics into Warcraft I, and I doubt many will play this recreation. However, many hardcore Warcraft gamers would appreciate the Total Conversion, and maybe the gameplay commands could be changed so that the Attack, or Move button for example, would not have to be clicked to be used, but rather using the right button on the mouse. I will release a few still images for the Night Elves, over a while so you may get the picture. And if everything gets rolling I will animate them. Of course, I will be doing all of the Artwork, for Buildings, Portraits and Units, unless others are interested. Also, if anyone knows how to actually reprogram Warcraft I, in any way to add units, or would like to delve into the process, then please post here to confirm your addition to a team that is waiting to begin. It'd be far easier to make your TC for Warcraft II: Battle.Net Edition, because that uses MPQs, so replacing graphics and things is far easier. |

Remaking NE in either game is a waste of time, there is absolutly no point, and both games are hardly ever played now, they're to old. It'd be a waste of your time. |

It won't be. I think many people with play it. Actually, I play Warcraft 2 myself and I am very familiar with the community, and know many, many people would like to play this. I was thinking Warcraft 2 before, and I obviously didnt realize anything about the Warcraft I difficulty. All I know are the graphics artwork. I would be willing to do the artwork for the Warcraft 2, some basic 3d models, painted over if anyone would be interested in helping out with the file managing, and all that crap dealing with the MPQs, and more artists, as this would take more artists... obviously. Reply if your interested, and I seriously doubt that this is a waste of time. Actually, Warcraft II is more played that you might think. However, if somone does know a way to edit Warcraft I, then I'd like to do that first, due to the graphics simplicity sake. |

Maybe WCII might be played a lot, but I highly doubt that anyone would still play WcI, the game is too old now. *WAY* too old. (Come to think of it, I don't even own WCI nor is it buyable anywhere where I live :P) I do not think you will receive the neccessary help here though. This is a Warcraft III community. Good luck though. -Fladian |

Nah, what I'll do is provide a complete download of the MOD, basically if it's possible a War1.exe with everything edited, and override the CD requirement. Basically, everyone can have it, but.... |

I think it sounds like a good idea, btw, the other race can be the burning legion. It would be a recreation of the War of the Ancients ^_^ Anyway, good luck! |
