Okay, I didn't know exactly what to name the title, but its close enough. I was looking at the unit editor and remembered you could change unit color there, and I was importing several of the same model just to import a different skin to change the color of it. I was using the special effect - attach trigger to attach the model to my units. Here's the prob. I'm importing the same model over and over because I want it to be a different color. I was to make the model a unit, and follow around the casting unit as if it was attached. I noticed peasents have no collision, and would be an easy replacement, so I was wondering what I would do to create a peasant that would follow around the casting unit as if attached to it. I'm kinda stumped. I tried a periodic event of every .01 seconds to move instantly the peasent to the point of the casting unit, but it looked to sketchy. Is there a better trigger I can use, or is there another way to recolor models like in the unit editor without having to import a new model and skin. Not sure if this is the right forum, but it seems the solution will most likely involve triggers so this is where I put it. |

Maybe I should rephrase all of that. Basically I want to recolor my model, like you can do with units in the unit editor, and I can only do that by making it a unit. So is there a way to in theory, attach units to other units? |

Hmm.. I've tried trial and error and still can't seem to get it to look like it's nothing more than an attached model. |

Thanks for all the help people :). Anyway, I found a quicker solution from a post about a year and a half back.. lol. Anyway, ignore this, problem solved. |
