Help with WE displaying models!

I can't get my WE to show any of my custom models anymore! It used to work fine, but now they will not display in the previewer and when I place the unit, i get an "unable to find model" error message!
What's wrong with this thing and how do I fix it?

This question is getting old, as its been asked so much. Once you import a model and place it on the map, you will get that message, almost 100% of the time. It'll appear as a green and purple checked box.

Save your map, close the World Editor, re-open World Editor, re-open your map.

The reason for this is because the WE isn't familiar to the model when its first imported so you must restart the WE.

make sure you imported the model as a .mdl so the path ends up to be ModelName.mdl
if they can't find it yet, make sure you save, shut off WE, and load again

Didnt work.

It still loads all of my older models (or renamed models with custom skins) just fine, it only has problems with the newer ones.
I've only had this problem since I recently tried to make a map with some wall models I got.

Did you download the wall models from a wc3 site.. or did you try and download a wall model from a modelling site and convert it? If you tried to convert it, theres your problem.

Btw, skins could be a major issue. Make sure it has a skin and that the skin is in the correct path, because Wc3 doesn't show models without skins, they are invisible.

I got them from a WC3 site, they were already formatted for WC3.

And all of the paths for skins, etc are correct.

Hmm, I really don't know what to say then. Try and use Wc3 Viewer to open the .mdx and make sure it even looks right.

I'm not sure what the problem could be, besides the model is bad.

OK, somethings seriously messed up, cause I imported the files into a map, ran the map, and nothing happened. I even enabled local files using a War3 config utility, and the models still did not display! (but my other custom skins did)

So, what is wrong here?

It has to be something to do with the model, its probably screwed.
