Vote for the Next IG Project

Okay Insomnia Graphics wants to focus on helping the modding community. We have noticed a lot campaigns and mods involve races in wc3 which don't have a lot of units. We thought it would be helpful to try to add new units to these races which blizzard seem not care about. We also threw in 2 extra races which Egg and I (Mock1) have decided on. Vampires and the Cat Race.

Please vote for which race you would like to see new units from. We will collect concepts and models from the community.

Vampires may be dropped since they are close to undead. I depends on IG members

I'm might change cat race to a wererace or humanoid cats, wolfs, bears, birds, snakes etc etc. It depends if it wins and what the IG members want to make.

I'd say gnomes since there arent any in warcraft 3 at all. But you guys should definetely do the vampire and cat races afterwards though.

I voted for High Elf, because there seems to be a serious lack of High Elf stuff in both the original game and the community. Everything else has been done. Nobody ever makes High Elf.

i was wondering are you implementing the chosen race as the fifth warcraft race, or just making the models, skins etc for others to do this

paul, do you not know anything? You can't make a 5th race, all they do is make skins/models and icons. Nothing more, nothing less.

i do know things, you can make a fifth race, it requires editting a wc3patch and slks and stuff.

I choose blood elves cause theyre my favorite race. Like forgotten light said, there is a lot of missing high/blood elf stuff.

basically becouse there was a time right before i left that the skins gallery was flooded with pandas... enough availible material on that!

and there are no night elves or ancients... ancients are lewt dude!

Actually, a lot of high/blood elf models have been made for the Heart of Storms (HoS, http://hos.samods.org) and Counterstrike at Quel`Thalas (CAQT, http://caqt.samods.org) mods. Once the mods are finished the models will become available to the public.

Even without those models there are probably enough models available to add to the existing warcraft models to form an entire elven race (e.g., Elf-blademaster and eagle rider at http://www.wc3sear.ch, a bloodelf-knight in the models gallery and the TToR models (http://race.wc3campaigns.com ) to name a few).
