Hello, i need help with some things...

1. How do i put a cooldown on an item that is based on Orb Fragments. I need it to have a cooldown, as it is a 1 charge item, and its found in abundance.

2. How do buffs work for abilities, like bash or storm bolt. With storm bolt i want it to do damage, slow, silence, and stun at highe rlevels. Earlier attempts to do so succeeded, but when it was slowed, it also seemed like it was stunned, it couldnt move, is there a remedy for this( i removed stun from buffs)? With bash i want it to be able to faerie fire the target as well as the stun. I tried to put it in same buffs as stun, but the ff overrode the stun, and there was no -ac either, although the faerie fire objects were on the targets head. Is there a way to do this without an invisible caster?

3. Absorb Mana, how do i mod it so it can take mana even with a full mana bar?

4. I want an item that temporarily boosts health and mana by adding to original amount of health, for maybe 30 seconds before it reverts back to original health. I tried to use Temporary health boost(lesser) but it reduced instead of adding to health.

5. How would i put like, the soul gem's effects into an ability? I want to corpse to look like its being put into a gem, any suggestions?

6. One of my custom hero abilities in the Learn Icon is a green block instead of the icon i picked, why is this?

7. I want an item that gives a ranged attack on ground. Like an orb but not just against air, and i dont want the poison or any other benefits, just a ranged attack for a short period of time. How would i do this?

#3: When you say Absorb Mana, do you mean Devour Magic, Siphon Mana, etc.? I'd suggest you use Siphon Mana since it keeps sucking mana even after you're already full. If you want it to do it in one burst, just set length to like 1 second and have it do X mana per second.

Well, the skill is called, Absorb Mana. Also, I would really prefer having the skill absorb mana as well as life, in the form of a ball, that hits the target, sucks the mana and life, then goes back to the caster, while in ball form, heros CAN collide with the ball, taking or receiving the life and mana. But if not, how would i adjust siphon mana so it wont be able to be used to give to another hero(Beta Patch) Thanks for the help!

Well, assuming you know where to get the model for the ball, you could use the Mana Burn skill and have the missile art be the ball. Then have a trigger that creates a unit with the ball model at the location of the targeted unit, and cause the unit to have a move order back to the unit that cast it.

Now, I don't know how exactly you have this set up, but you could make a trigger with event "Unit Enters Location of Unit" and have it transfer its mana over to the unit that it makes contact with, then kills the ball. Also give the ball a max mana that's the same as the amount of mana the Mana Burn skill will remove, so if, for example, the Mana Burn skill burns 150 mana but the enemy unit only has 50 mana, when the ball is created, set the ball's mana to 50/150 (and make sure it's mana regen is 0.00). You could also try the same thing with life and just make the ball invulnerable.

Keep in mind, I'm not really good with triggers yet, so if there is anything in that stuff I just said that doesn't work, sorry :** I'm still learning. I hope it works though...
