the psd file was 128 layers... 26 for the background and the zerg, 2 for both borders, and 100 for the firebat, ghost, and dark templar. This is 50% original size. It is ALL freehand. (except there was a grass shaped brush but that doesnt count as not freehand i think) |

I'll take a wild guess at where you came up with that . . . Seems like a very good pic - did you make it for any special reason? |

Well done! The Firebat is very nice. And I thought for a second that you had copied and pasted the Ghost from a screenshot, but nope. Very nice. |

dude, ur quality fluxuates so freaken bad! itll be n00b art one moment, then its this freaken god-like picture! i mean, the zerg doesnt look too good but then, you have the zealots foot! its rather bad, but then when you look at his head its freaken super! and the ghost is like "did a pro make that?" wait no! and then you have the firebat which is like, good bad good bad good bad... |

I quite like the zerg being fuzzy and out of focus, it makes them look like their in the background and trains the eye on the 3 warriors. |

[edit] Oh and, protoss feet can be bigass and the head should be a bit smaller IMO. |

doesnt make a difference, you can 'add on' you know, and its against the rules so dont try to indirectly flame me! aside from that, doesnt 128layers get laggy, confusing, and size consuming? |

New pic is much better, and im sorry to be nit picking here but since not many people are giving crits I thought I would points out some other small mistakes. Like the fact that the heads of the 2 characters (Firebat and Ghost) seem more clear then their bodies. Then on the mountain in the background, the cloud going over it is also slightly blue which doesnt make sence, because a cloud is not blue, the sky is. I really like the texture on the protoss outfit and the shading is relativly nice. And did you use a screenshot of Nova as a reference for her, or paint over it? Just curious because the gun looks like a model and seems odd. And you used alot of styles for this so it seems like a weird composition. Nice work nonetheless. And 128 layers?? Why use so many? I used 4 once... And thats about it, it just seems way too much because making every character on 1 or 2 layers woulda been fine too but whatever, thats your choice how you want to do it anyway so good job and hope you produce more artwork. |

Explain me how you did the grass ! It's so nice. And hell, how can you work with more than 100 layer? hours of editing if you see an error, no? I would have made the whole pic with that blur/soft effect. The characters are floating over the grass and the ultralisk is well.. make the lineart more blurry so it matches with the texture. |
