Spell creation help

Ok .. i really wunna make trigger spells but i dunno how and looking off other maps the triggers confuse me cause so many at once =p could someone show me a tutorial or type me a tutorial to make a spell i dunno lets say something like an area of effect spell i am getting the hang of triggers but please help! i really need a tutorial cause i cant find any +plus i wunna stay away from jass cause i dun have a clue about jass to confusing O.O
