Now about two months ago I started working on a map based around one specific game, Final Fantasy Tactics. All the classes are made, spells, leveling, almost everything works. My problem is the saving and loading of a character. I don't care how hard it is I am determined to try anything at this point to get it to work. I can get a save/load trigger to save inventory items, spells, all BUT the class you are and the level. ie: You have played for like 45 min and lvled from a lv 1 chemist and you are now a lv 5 black mage (Example it takes a little longer than that). Now you want to quit and saving that character works. Now you got back on played for about an hour, you are now a calculator. Now a calculator takes like 6 lower classes to be at certain levels to become a calculator and I can not make a trigger that can save all his pervious classes and was wondering how I can work around that. I have thought about making like 150 items keeping track of your level like and item saying you are level 4 squire, 4 mage, 6 summoner, etc etc but it would just really take a lot of time that I really have not felt like doing and when you come back to the game you load your character and items then type what class you want to be and the game checks to make sure you are of the minimum required levels. If anyone has a suggestion on how I could do it a little easier PLEASE HELP!!! |

For the saving/loading very, very simple. Go to Wc3sear.ch and then click "Tools" and on page 2 I believe, there is the World Editor Unlimited, it can be used to create a custom save system, but, the only porblem I think there is, is that once you use the "Advanced Triggers" you must edit the map only with World Editor Unlimited. can't help you with the rest, sorry. |

In this case, you would only use the World Editor Unlimited for this 1 map, and it would be for using the save/load code process. But, should you want to edit the map AFTER using the advanced triggers for the save/load code, you can ONLY use the World Editor Unlimited for all editng to that map, the other world editor would most likely crash because of the advanced triggers (all tho not sure since I have not tried it myself). Now, should you create a map using many of the World Editor Unlimited' full range of programs, you would use ONLY the World Editor Unlimited for all map editing, terraining, etc. |

Heres an idea: make a save thing in the generic editor by going game cache and storing said data. then make it use the players name as the category. this eliminates the need for encryption as the only one able to access this would be the player. |
