Dont tell me that Legacys is spelt wrong because thats its trade mark Right i been working on this map for a long time and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger, it just wont do for Open RPG, it needs story and lets face it. Any bnet rpgs which have dialog suck. so i was wondering of getting a team together. I need: Terrainer, i can terrain but i need it to make look belivable. Triggerer: Everyone can trigger, i can do it well i think but what i lack is experiance. Mainly to make the Scenes nice. Skinners and modelers: i very much doubt i will need this. But prefrably someone who can do one of the above so i wont "waste" a person for the team. Voice Acting: lets face it, campaigns with no custom voices are just boring, i can do some but may need more (i will recruit them at sound forum) If i get a good response to this post i will give you the story. EDIT: sorry didnt see the campaign team gathering, moving this topic would be appreitated |

Wait, wait, wait, let me get this straight. You started an open RPG though changed to a campaign later on? Interesting enough ;) Anyway, you're stuck to a few things I will point out at this very moment even though I'm nearly dropping from my chair because I'm exhausted and at the edge of cryin.. err... never mind that. Even though you asked for about every job available, you told us you could basic-trigger. Not really enough you know. Too many people start out and making projects without the part of having any or barely any skills to spare. Since you're a member here for some time, I'll skip the entire "too young" and "too little experience" part ;) (If you want to know what I meant with that, look in ANY other thread where I posted in here in the Campaign Team Discussion Forum ;)) Anyway, ALWAYS give a story, people cannot give positive answers without knowing anything about it, except for the help you're asking. Was this thread btw somewhere else to start with? Meaning, that it was moved already, or did you want it to be moved to the Campaign Team Gathering? (Yeah, there's a 'Team Gathering' and a 'Team Discussion' here... I'm already confused as it is, even though I'm the moderator of this area -_-') Well, *yawn* I'll be returning here when it becomes morning... G'night people. *sigh*...8 more days... just 8 more... -Fladian |

Okay, just "normal" triggering in my eyes then ;) (I can do the same stuff, retired or not, I still know some stuff) Anyway, take your time on the story, rather a long-waited-for-high-quality-story then a short-waited-for-low-quality-story :P Good night ya' all. -Fladian |

In my eyes i think most campaigns that fail are the ones without the solid story lines, people just wanting to make a campaign to show them there uber trigger spells, models are flashy skins. Might seem crazy but The Demon huntress one, forgot the name has a better story than RoTD. Sorry :o . Anyway Im gonna ignore all the detail of my story like explaining the scene, just gonna get down to it. The story is very split, meaning during the campaign you will get alot of "meanwhile" type story line. -----a-b-o-u-t-----t-h-r-e-e----h-u-n-d-r-e-d-----y-e-a-r-s----l-a-t-e-r---------------------- 6 Generations have passed since the World Tree Incident. Inevidiably, orcs have fallen into the old hatreds, after years of deceat and power struggles, the ancient thrall lingears on till his end (PROLOGUE). After Thralls power was handed down to a blademaster from a newly formed clan, The Blood Orcs. Hogrma, the new leader of the orcs, was responsible for stiring up war and betrayal among the races as he believed they were "unworthy and weak". The once proud nation of humans was nearly nearly the brink of destrucion by the orc warchief. Until a unifying alliance between humans and the remaining high elvs of silvermoon bounded the two races together and created The Alliance. The alliance's key stronghold was in a newly well protected city called Dallaran Falls, in memory of the proud elven and human city that once looked onto its kingdom. The city itself was well hidden underground until they had the advantage and quickly constructed there small fort into a breath taking Citadel. Great Magic and War arts are practised, many new research's guaranteed the city would be untouchable. Dispite many attempts and inflitrations The Alliance has always prevaled into stopping infiltraitors. But beauty and freedom comes at a price, the city adopted harsh laws, leaving much of its population scared rather than a feeling of security. The dwarfs, fine craftsmen in weapons and armour. They finally came out of hiding from there notorious mountain halls and now are the prime source to the citys supply of gold, metals and other substances. In return they are most welcome to join the forever growing Alliance. "To attack a dwarfen mine, would be like a Fly attacking a Wasps nest. In minuits thousands of pissed off dwarfs will sprout out there hole and sting the attackers with fine bolts of steel until the ends of the earth." -Hogrma Where The Alliance had a beautiful vibrant city, the orcs, had a equaly impressive city. But not beautiful, The genius of the orcs city was so supreme and well built. The citadel was based on the island outside Durotar. Only way to access the city was by see, and then again there is only one way to get into the city once you passed through the high cliff pass which leads to a harbour covered with guards and contraptions. Several gates and emergancy gates will close if attackers are availed. It would take an overwhelming suicide force just to reach the shore line of the harbour. For a time, the wind would stir an uncomfortable period of peace and silence. Everyone was on edge, no one could relax, not till one side planted there flag on the opposite side. The Door of peace was closed and the key was thrown away. Tales and word of undead slowly filtered out the land, and for a time it was forgotton, as the orcs dont know what happened at the throne. It seemed they had left....or had they not even entered durotar?. |

There is alot more story line, but thats the inital set up of everything =/. Not so much story but a "where are we now" type guide Prologue The beginning of the end
Hogrma: A Message for you Thrall. Thrall: Be So Kind to read it from me, my old eyes are failing. Hogrma: It is a msg from Jaina. She wants to meet you at the desert canyon. She says... Thrall: JAINA! something is wrong, i must leave at one. Hogrma waits till thrall leaves the scene Hogrma: Is everything Repaired> Blood Orc: Yes Master Hogrma: Good, very good. Thrall enters a firey, dry canyon only to see a blur in the distance, his eye site is failing along with him...as he approaches the blur, he discovers jaina still as the rocks that lay around him. Hogrma: She was weak. Females leading nations? WHAT NEXT thrall. Old, rotting blind shamans leading us into war? Thrall: Fool! what were u thinking. SHE WAS OUR ALLIE AND FRIEND, I WILL NOT LEAD US INTO WAR, IT GOES EVERYTHING I TAUGHT YOU AGAINST! hogrma approaches thrall Hogrma:Yesssssss. That is correct thrall, old but still wise... Thrall:Hogrma?...ho... Hogrma withdraws his blade from thralls plated armour, to reveal a coated blade of blood. Thrall falls, side by side next to jaina... |

Not necessarily. There has been a handful of projects that started out with a story that even impressed me (and believe me, that is EXTREMELY hard to do, no project story has impressed me even the slightest this last year) but still failed badly. Story is great to have, and primary like you said yourself. I believe the same thing, but it is not the reason why projects fail. It is the determination and loyalty people have for it. And lately, people lack that. I for one, never lost a bit of it and I am still working on the project I started 2 years ago. I might cancel it soon though, since I'm preparing to leave the forum. To the story it is... As to start with, don't use these colors! This is barely readable! I could only read it while I select it... so after a hard time of reading it (since I use 'Light Blue' selection theme it is hard to read eitherway) I got this to say: No, no, no, how did I deserves this? HOW? What did I do wrong? Because I became a moderator? WHY?! Uhhum... okay... well... that sort of gave my point... I am absolutely NOT fond... no, I rather hate projects that are based on games, books, movies, whatever. It would surely 'LACK' the story what you wanted to stay away from. And I especially don't like Warcraft based projects... partly because I'm not very fond on the Warcraft storyline. So to put it easily, I do not like you story ^^ Excluding the part that is based on Warcraft, I still don't like the story :P though it is barely a story you gave, it is more... the features in it. *sigh* if you want to make it badly, I'm not stopping you. I'm too tired to stop anyone right now... On a little side note, Jaina and Thrall are quite old if it was 300 years later... ...*sigh*... 8 more days... just 8 more... -Fladian |

Thanks for your view, intresting. But maybe i told it wrong to you, its all in my head see :). And yeah thats true, just because you dont like it dont mean no one else will. :god_help_us: On that note, i think your going over the top, having to select it to read it. Turn down your brightness or turn it up. |

It's not like you told it wrong, I just don't like things such as this. I don't like mods that continue a story or replay a story. You're right in your last sentence though, so good luck ^^ -Fladian |

Well, it's more like you told what happened with the races, not neccessarily the story. Anyway, what I forgot to say, try not to double post ;) We got an Edit button here. |

funny cause the double post came from trying to edit one of them Anyway you said the three hundred years later plot was a bit weird for jaina, but jaina is a mage, and human or not they live a while ¬_¬. And You cant argue how long an orc lives for as they are demon spawned. "i brought the orcs into this world" - medivh "you are mine" - mannaroth...who happens to be a demon. |

I can't recall Mages are able to age more then normal humans. I thought priests would have a *small* advantage above others. As I recall too, orcs had the same life spawn as humans, though I'm not sure. I'm sure Elves are immortal, but that's all. About the "you are mine" of Manaroth, that was because he 'controlled' them by his blood. Blood does not neccessarily change the life time of... eh... creatures. (Hard to say "people" to orcs :P) |

orcs are demon based creatures |
