Changing Object order in Object Editor

Can this be done?

I am designing a map with a very complex tech tree and often it becomes very daunting and confusing. Therefore, it would be of great help to be able to put the units in some state of order in the object editor. (e.g. put each building, followed by its upgrades in chronological order)

Is there any way of putting objects into a particular order, just for convenience's sake?

I think you can click and drag them where you want them to go.

If not, you can change what race they belong to, and they'll be organized that way, other than that though, there is no way that I know of.

I don't believe there's a way to do this. I've got around it by preplanning all my custom objects on paper and then moving units into each section to make enough. Once that's done I just fill 'em in using the correct order.

If anyone knows how to do this, I'd appreciate it.

To my knowledge, Objects in the object editor are arranged by their data code (the 4-character identifier automatically assigned to every object). If you exported the unit data files and edited thme (somehow) you might be able to change their identifier code thereby arranging them. More work than it's worth for just a little housekeeping, IMO.
