Alright I didn't know where to put this, but the only way of getting close to what I want is with a trigger, so I figured I'd try here. Is there a way to make something white and translucent? I know how to do black and everything under the rainbow between black and normal, but how the heck do you do white? o_O Thanks... |

as far as i know there is no possible way to do this unless you want to reskin the unit to be white |

Transparency can be done through adding a low opacity alpha channel to the whole skin. ![]() |

...or with one of the Animation triggers, the one that changes colours. The simple solution if you don't want to redo the skins. |

and skins take extra space too |

yes but i thinks he wants it white and not transparent |

I think he wants both, but if he's not going to turn their skins white, why do the transparency with skins? |

well rp has what he wants unfortunatly they are protected :\ the only thing i can think of is change vertex coloring but i dont think u can do it with that i never tried also if u wunna try this if u dunno its in a trigger |

I don't think anyone will mind if the crystalline people are just transparent rather than transparent and white and upping the filesize by a ton. |

What i think he means is that he wanted a White Transparent skin, that is why i suggested to have a low opacity alpha for the whole skin. That would save abit of time instead of messing with too many triggers. And a white opacity skin wouldn't take all that long to do and wouldn't take too much space. But my inference on his post, i could be wrong about what he wanted. If you wanted just white you would need to skin. If you wanted just transparent you could use the animation trigs like Moore stated. But if you wanted both in one, personally i would do both in the skin. ![]() |

That's about my opinion as well. Oh, by the way, it's "Morre", not "Moore" :O |

Alright thanks guys... for some reason i haven't really been able to get the skinning thing working, so I'll just do transparent until I have some time to mess with it. |

'The skinning thing' it's really A 'thing'. It's a process of things. Extracting a skin, editing the skin, putting the skin back... Possibly even making a custom model for the skin so you can have the same model in a map with 2 different skin variations. Anyway my point is... It's easy as hell. Takes some time and talent to make awe-ispiring skins, but something like this could be down with the hue/saturation/contrast funciton. Select the whole skin and hit ctrl+h (I think that's it, and that is for PS7). Then turn um righteon up till it's where you wanted. There is an easy skinning tut in the tutorials section on this site. PS7 costs money if you don't have the internet... *wink wink*. Not suggesting anything pirative of course... Because that is illegal. -MadBagOfHorses *cough* Kazaa *cough* Man, I need to go get some Nyquil. |
