I was wondering just how to make custom lightning. I've seen the lightning "skins" when browsing through the MPQ but, I was wondering, what those skins are applied to and how to get/make a custom one(that I could duplicate and edit the skin path for, effectivly allowing me to have infinite lighting variations). Does anybody know? Are lightnings some weird form of model, do thay have anything other than that 'skin' at all? In summary: What is the deal with lightning? |

Dunno exactly what you mean.........I made a spell that is a rip of Forked Lightning........I had it use Forked Lightning as a model then added the Lightning Effect of Finger of Death/Pain.........this gave me an awesome Forked Lightning where the bolts are red ^_^ is this what you meant? |

Lightning effects are very special because they need to be stretched. IIRC there's a way to change the colour of any lightning effect by editing the MPQ but I you'd have better luck asking around the modelling forum about how to actualy make one from scratch. |

Well, I opened up my Wc3Extractor2 and was looking through all the lightnings, and realized that I don't need any custom lightning. Thanks anyway. [THREAD CLOSED] ;) |
