I am making a Dota inspired remake of an old SC classic map: Magic the Gathering. Due to my noobines I ll try to keep it simple and most of the effort will be put in the making of triggers for starters. Then I might try to play around with item building, special effects and maybe skins and sounds. It features (atm): -5 * free for all -Turn based/RT style each turn about 60 secs -5 Colours/Races with most unit models directly from the game. -1 hero for each player picked out of 3 specialist heroes (Caster, Mellee, Aura) -20 lifes for each player, hero killed = one life lost. -Global mana pool refreshed each turn. -Amount of global mana proportional to either hero level or score. -2 types of basic creeps auto spawning every turn. -Additional spawning options adding new types of creeps or increasing their numbers for a cost each turn. -Creeps will be controled indirectly by the player making a selection of 5 possible targets/strategies. -Global enchantments in the form of upgrades. -Global spells adding advanced strategies for late-game tie-braking. -3 alternative ways of victory 1) Eliminating all enemies 2) Killing creeps in isolated arenas 3) Completing an artifact. Development is quite slow since I am learning and implementing at the same time. Most of the terain is finished, basic creeps are almost done, I've writen some triggers but not tested them. Things I'd like to know are: A) Would you be interested in playing such a map? B) Any magic players offering ideas on global spells, hero abilities and creeps allong with ideas on how to implement. C) Is anyone interested on helping me with the balancing once the first playable test map is finished? D) Any suggestions, feedback? Btw I know its a big project for a begginer and it will take some time before its done but I am taking it easy and learn while I go allong. |

Bro any idea can fly. As long as you put the time into it. Don't make the projects progress on what other people think.... That's a first flaw... "Will it fly". The Project will fly if you do... ;) |
