Is it possible to make models with 3D max 6 ?

I know that warcraft arttools need's 3Dmax version 4.26 for working correctly, but there is no way to get this from anywhere. Even the developer won't offer it. So I got my self a 3Dmax6. And installed Arttools there. But everytime I start 3Dmax errors hit about wc artools plugins. And I can't load mdx files.

So can someone please help me and tell me from where can I find correct plugins for 3dmax6?

Or can someone please help me find correct patch of the 3dmax (I have registration code already).

Or can someone please tell me where can I get some other converter that would convert .mdx file correctly into .max file what can be used for 3dmax6.

Any help is good. I realy need this. Please

unfortunately, i dont think the art tools work on max 6, only on 4 nd 5
however u could probably make a model nd send it to someone who has max 4 in .3ds format so they could export it as a mdx.

Hmm, that's gone take to long... And first I'd like to learn modeling good, and I can't do that if I can't even open existing models...
