Guest | Hey all. I don't wanna start up any flames, so misunderstand my intent. I recently found someone online w/ an old WC3 custom game that I used to love: Sheepball. I haven't seen it in forever (at least, not on US East/West) and we had a blast playing it after so long. Anyway, we got to talking afterwards, and noted that there were a few improvements we could probably make to the game. Such as, setting the number of goals to victory, or adding the ability to "switch" teams if someone leaves. Sidelines or special abilities for the goalie might be nice too.... In any case, the point of this is that I got home today, and for the heck of it tried to open up my version of Sheepball. I found that it was a protected map. I haven't seen any new versions lately, so I've assumed that the original author has abandoned it. The code for Sheepball doesn't sound too complicated, so I -could- probably just reproduce the code; but that doesn't give much credit to the original author. Thus, I'm looking for the author of Sheepball and would like to request either permission to rewrite Sheepball, or a copy of the unprotected map. Hope this doesn't offend anyone, and no I'm not trying to crack/unprotect/steal credits from the original author. Thanks for your time, Doki^2 |

Guest | The chances of the author of Sheepball visiting these forums are rather slim. Also, if the map is protected, he probably wants NO other versions out there. Oh well, gotta live with it I guess. |
