How to get gmax file > mdx or mdl file?

How do i get a Gmax File into a mdx or mdl???
Do i need a dex?

Yup, you need Dex. You can get it here. There is at least one post about modeling and exporting in the modeling forum.

ummm DeX does NOT work what file do you open it with?

you need kmk script. go to utilities and then to max script like you did with the dex. run kmk, now it says mdx importer/exporter. select that and then select import mdx.
warning, you CANNOT export files with kmk. you need dex for that.

First off have some manners, and dont tell me im lieng. You didnt look at that tutorial at all did you? You need to place your dex file under gmax/scripts/ folder. Choose utilities in gmax then max script then run script. Then choose files of type, txt. Then double click on dex.
