Cuase if you downloaded them, they might be corrupted. If you pulled them from wc3 itself.. then its just another sign that Yogbul's was poorly coded.

I've seen that before, and redownloading and reinstalling the converter usually works. Did you get the version you installed from the wc3sear.ch download section?

I get this often when redoing wc3 models, especially geoset merging. It gives me an error and I can never get them to convert. Same with my statue of liberty model. It's in .mdl.. won't convert to .mdx. I've checked it several times.

You get 'Unknown file format'? I've seen that happen to perfectly valid MDLs. And, as far as I have ever seen, Yobguls' never is unable to convert a valid MDL (other than having to restart the converter occasionally) if it is working correctly.

To sort this problem, I find that you need to have your MDL in the Warcraft III base directory, or a folder within it.

I don't think so, never got this problem and I have the mdls everywhere, probably it is that yobgul's needs old war3.exe and that kind of files on its same directory, they should come with it.

and have you ever tried wc3search's tools section?
