So, this is my first attempt at terraining. I know that a waterfall seems to be pretty cliche, but what the hey, why not.

Very nice for your first time but a suggestion

In veiw in the worldedit make it so no info display no camera bounds
This will make it so you cant see the blue line or the doodad boxes
+ go to veiw then check SKY a big white box will surround your map and then look around for map prefrences (somewhere in the tabs on top) and then set your sky and the time of day and your set

=)

Nice to be your first terrain indeed..
You have a poteintial to become a great terrainer if you keep up ..
no kidding
rep point for you.

Tip:
- When taking screenshot have selected the world editor in the main screen...
then "print screen" it will popup "screenshot taken" than you can go to you screenshot directory in your wc3 tft dir.

-Go to ------------>map preferences(inside "scenario" tab)-------->selct your sky type then go to "view"---------------> sky

-I would recommend starting to terrain nature in ashenvale insted of lorderon tileset..

-Put fog on... under "map preferences"---------->map options-------->chech the fog button on and select the color. It gives a nice effect, btw dont forget to turn on fog under -----------> view

The easiest way is just to press "V" in the editor, make sure you have the terrain palette selected though or it will look wierd. If you got the doodad palette selected for example only the doodads will have the fog effect and that looks wierd.

a nice bit of terrain, but there are some minor technical flaws;
you can see where the water graphic goes odd at the edge of the raised leval of water., try to cover this up with closly packed rocks (mushroom pathing), a well placed tree or two, or just some general plant life (a mix of shrubs bushes and flowers for example). the rocks are proably too large for thsi sceen, you might want to consider setting their default sacle to something like 0.6 then spamming them more freely at the bas of the waterfall. the tree trunk in the water looks good but it could do with more vegitation in and around it, such as some cattails emerging from its top. you might want to add flowers mushrooms bushs and shrubs more freely around the bases of the trees. id also suggest using the raise and lower terrain tools more freely, mixing them with the cliff tools always works to good effect

So I was wondering how I could get rid of this water that seems to defy gravity..... :(

And thanks for the Rep point!
